A: Hello~ Aluminum is a soft and reactive metal- if you use a metal knife it may leave marks in the pan. However, the pan will continue to preform perfectly. Yes, this pan is ideal for 9x13 inch cake recipes. June, Nordic Ware Customer Service.

covered pans are great for sheet cakes and stack well in refrigerators. thank you p.s check with to resultant companies they did not have them . Target has them and I am glad I bought 6. they will last for ever .

I bought 2. One lid was scratched up. One lid was off colored. I wanted to exchange because I bought them for a gift, but exchanging wasn't an option. The scratched lid doesn't fit either pan snuggly. 🙁

I love the light colored aluminum bakeware! It gives baked goods such a nice, even, golden crust. I grease these pans with butter and a light dusting of flour and everything releases well. The lid is a nice touch because you can stack things on it in the fridge.
