We designed our solid wood Normandy Storage Bench to make a great first impression. This functional, stylish and durable bench allows you to make a statement while creating added storage and seating for your entryway or mudroom. "Form follows function" design rules apply here as the bench features a convenient flip up lid allowing for easy retrieval of articles from the dual storage compartment below.

Q: Can u please tell me the distance from the floor to the bottom of the bench? I'm trying to decide if there is enough room for shoes & boots to fit under there.

Q: Is this a bright white color? I just returned another bench that looked white, but was really an off-white, and didn’t look good next to my white woodwork.

I don’t normally comment so soon. I’ve only had the 1 day. We placed it outside in a protected entry to our home. It took approx. an hour to put it together. With two of us, it still required some groundwork maneuvering. I’m 66, 5’2” and easily bend & lay on the floor to add hardware. Predrilled holes made alignment easy. My husband is 6’2”. After we saw our friends struggle with their balance & flexibilty, the bench was a must. We both found it comfortable to sit on for putting shoes on & off. The practical bench storage is great to store shoes in. We’ll be purchasing one more for our backyard entry.

I love this company. First time I have purchased anything from them but I love there instructions for assembly and the way they have the parts in separate bags making it easy to see if you have all the screws and hardware you need. They even give you extras in case you mess something up. I am a woman and I have put together a lot of furniture from different furniture companies and so far this is my favorite. Thank you so much.

Less storage than I expected

It has much less storage space than I expected. That's my own fault--I thought I had looked at the measurements. Also, when assembled, the middle leg is 1/4 inch too short. It doesn't meet the floor. Otherwise, all ok.

i thought I'd be a grown-up and not get IKEA furniture. big mistake. This thing is garbage. the predrilled holes do not align, but I managed to put it together pretty quickly only to have it fall apart in less than a an hour. the lid came off of the bench upon opening! do not get.

I was very pleased with this product. It was affordable (more than fairly priced) and is of good quality. A trade-off of quality is weight. That said I appreciated that I was able to assemble and position this furniture easily (without needing a second pair of hands!) The bench is constructed of wood, however, the bottom is a different material (similar to what would be used for the back of an armoire or entertainment center. This item was shipped with great care and gave me the impression that the employees at this company take pride in their work. Best of all, this shipped from the USA and not China. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in the design, build, marketing, and shipping of my new bench! It's perfect for what I needed.

Believe me as the dad in charge of assembly I often dread opening these boxes. Each part with stickers matching the instruction manual! Individual zip locked labeled baggies! This bench is a very well made pice of furniture. My husband pushed off the task for long enough so I decided to put it together myself. I really like the bench. We put in the are entryway. The only problem is when were assembly it, When were putting in the hinges on my husband it cracked the wood and we had to glue it back on. It's in the back so you can't see the it. So just warning just be careful when putting on the hinges it's very close to the edge.

This is a beautiful bench! It's exactly what I was looking for. I also love that it opens to allow for storage! I don't have anything to store yet but am sure it'll come in handy as the years go by in my new home! Looks lovely in my entry way! Oh, and it was fairly easy for my husband to put together with a little help from me!

Great looking bench for my entry way. My only complaint is in the assembly. I would consider myself an expert in assembling pre fab furniture but this was ridiculous and the instructions were confusing. I would still recommend, just be aware.
