It’s the best- hands down – curling product I found for my thin 2A/2B type hair. It’s the only product that actually makes my hair curl. I bought trial sizes of multiple hair creams, hair, mousse, hair gels for curly hair. None of the others did much of anything. Wish I could get a decent before/after picture. I apply it after light towel drying from the shower, and only use the minimal amount I can squidge out (which is always more than I want). Maybe golf ball sized? I’ll apply it from roots to ends and then scrunch it up and let it dry. Reliably I’ll get amazing waves throughout, and some ringlet curls on the ends. The inescapable downside: no matter how wet my hair is, or how little product I use, it always leaves my hair crunchy. I’ll have to re-wet it with a mister and finger comb it out at least twice. Even with these extra steps, it’s still my go-to. It’s the only product that actually curls my hair, so I’m happy to accept the trade off until something better comes along.

If I could give this product a zero I would. My 14 year old used this product once a week ago and has been experiencing extreme hair loss ever since. She’s is so upset and I am trying to figure out how to help her. She usually has super thick hair and now you can see how much it has thinned out. I’d love to send a complaint to the company because this is not ok.

I brushed out my 2b-3b waves/curls (fine, thin hair) for years. The last few months i started to figure it out again. I wanted products that don't have alcohol. After a ton of research and a few flops, I tried this. I want to cry I'm so happy. The price is right. I used one pump worth through my lengths while in the shower and my hair was soaking wet. Also a teeny tiny amount of the NYM gel. This mousse gives me volume, my curls are slightly held, but my hair is soft and bouncy (as promised). I'm now a NYM Curl Talk believer.

It smells like someone’s spit after they have chewed Big Red cinnamon gum. Smells kind of like someone’s sneeze. Honestly smells gross I expected better. The hold is ok, it’s more on the sticky side and results in crunchier curls that are a little more difficult to break the cast on. I won’t be buying this again but I suppose in a pinch it does an ok job

it was okay; nothing to write home about, not awful. it gave me good hold, but was super sticky and kind of a mess. i feel like it helped with definition a little, but the texture was not it. also my bottle broke super easily :(
