Color glides on and within a few seconds it starts plumping. Takes a couple minutes for the burning to subside but totally worth it!

I really wanted to like this product, but it was a complete disappointment. The formula is very thick and not easy to work with. On top of that, it only causes an intense burning sensation without giving any actual plumping effect. There’s no visible difference after using it — just irritation and frustration. Definitely would not recommend.

I think it's okay, but I just can't stand the burning. I knew it was going to burn a bit, but it's too much for me. I also think that it doesn't really work for me, my lips look almost the same size.

Tastes terrible. Burns but no real plumping. Texture is sticky and thick.

The product delivers an instant plumping effect accompanied by a tingling and mildly burning sensation — it's noticeable but still bearable. However, the plumpness fades once the sensation wears off. That said, it does provide good hydration and adds a nice touch of color, which are definite pluses.

As with all NYX products, Duck Plump is original & innovative in producing what is promised & offered in a variety of shades.

To start : Was not happy with the applicator. It takes out SO much product so I just sit there scraping most of it in the bottle before actually applying. I was really excited for this when looking at the reference of the lady with the fair skin but it looks so much more brown and off in person. The product is also very thick! I was considering returning it but I decided to blend in some of my Petalcore Teddy Tint from Maybelline and it made it look SO much better! First image is the product by itself and 2nd is mixing the 2. Will be keeping it as I try to avoid returning makeup. Ps: The burning isnt that bad. Definitely focus on moisturizing around your lips if you're more sensitive but the packaging does all it can to warn you of the spiciness lol

Poor quality and horrible color

I thought it would be like the “lip injection” by too faced that had a slight tingling sensation and actually makes your lips look plumper. This just burned so bad. I waited about 20 minutes and it kept burning so I removed it. Still had an allergic reaction days after. My lips were chapped. Terrible product.

I expected a tingly feeling, but this stuff really BURNS. Is it really safe?

If you want your lips to feel like you’ve rubbed them with a ghost chili pepper this is the lips gloss for you. This gloss HURTS! It’s unusable. Makeup shouldn’t cause burning and pain. DO NOT BUY!!!

I love the subtle pigment, the plumping effect is awesome, my husband very much liked how it worked! I'm obsessed. Keep in mind, this is a pretty intense burn, it even says so on the package. Not sure why people are surprised. Also, people will react differently to a product like this depending on their body chemistry. For me, it does get very hot for about 10 minutes, and then it subsides and is a nice pleasant tingle. Don't go kissing anyone unless they want to get "spicy chapsticked" per my husband xD

It's glossy but doesn't do much plumping. It tingles for a bit like its going to do something, but I noticed absolutely no difference after application.
