Honestly have never had an issue with NYX products but this was BADDDDD! Just absolutely awful…it gave me the WORST flashback ever!! I will say it left my skin looking flawless to the human eye but did me so dirty in pictures. Stick to the Laura Mercier setting powder!

It sets my liquid foundation fine, but trying to press the powder in leaves a huge white cast that’s impossible to blend out and ends up looking very dry. Probably won’t buy again.

You can really tell which era of makeup tutorials we grew up with based on the reviews and pictures. I’m an elder millennial and starting using this product around 2014 before I’d ever heard the word “baking” used outside the kitchen. This powder was a lifesaver- I bought it in a pinch in between a wedding ceremony and reception when I noticed that the BALMY Midwest summer air was making me ultra shiny. I stopped into a target and bought this along with a fluffy face brush. I lightly applied the powder over my forehead and cheeks and was instantly cured of my shine! My makeup looked beautiful and the silica blurred the appearance of my pores. I’ve loved this product ever since and have never been let down. Seeing other reviewers hating the flashback they get from using this as a baking powder, I can’t help but giggle. For sure, I’d hate this too if I was using it with a heavy hand to set under-eye makeup. It’s not meant to be used that way. I’d consider it more of a finishing powder than a setting powder. It’s great to reduce shine, but doesn’t do much for staying power for foundation or concealer.

I'm a makeup artist and always try products on myself first. I tried this powder with a powder puff and at first glance I loved it, made my skin look flawless and airbrushed. So when I went to use this on my clients I noticed in certain light it gave the worst white cast I'd ever seen, I had to redo the makeup.

Horrible flashback. I went to Once Upon A Time In LA & my photos look so bad because I have flashback under my eyes because of this powder! Even with the front facing camera!!!!! Now I have to find out how to edit it out of my videos & photos!

I love this finishing powder for my extremely oily skin. It lasts longer and it's more effective than anything else I've tried. But what I use it for more than anything else lately is as a dry shampoo. I'm one of those people who can't go a single day without washing my hair. Dry shampoo in a can left my hair feeling heavy and just gross - plus, it didn't last long (and I've tried at least a dozen brands.) But this powder is much more effective than any dry shampoo I've ever tried. I can easily get an extra day or even two of wear without having to wash my hair. It's a real game changer for me. And I love the way my hair feels when I use it - thicker, with more body. But because it works SO well, I would really caution anyone not to use it unless you have very oily, fine hair, because it could dry out your scalp.

I've tried many powders over the years including the expensive Laura Mercier powder, and this for me is the best, hands down. Worth saying that I use this as a final touch powder and take it out with me to touch up if need be. I use Fenty to set but only because I started baking and I have dark skin. I don't get the flashback issues although I thought this would be worse on black skin! I think it's amazing. I pop this on and look photoshopped. Really love it.

I used wet and wild finishing powder and it was HORRIBLE on my oily skin. But this powder with the urban decay all nighter spray sets my makeup so perfectly. I LOVE it. The only thing is that I need to learn what to use to apply to my face because it’s so fine it doesn’t really stick on my brush and sorta sticks to my makeup sponge.
