Description

It's the Operation electronic board game, a game night favorite, featuring hilarious ailments. The patient, Cavity Sam, is a little under the weather. Who can avoid the buzz and help him recover without lighting up his red nose? Players choose a Doctor card with 12 possible wacky anatomy parts to remove. Just steer clear of the sides of the game unit to avoid the dreaded buzzer! If they don't set off the buzzer, they earn the amount of money shown on the back of the card. The player with the best skills and the most money at the end of the game wins. Q: There are two different versions pictured. How do we know which one we will get? Has anyone ordered this lately? If so, did you get the "beach body" version or the more classic looking Sam? The details here show UPC: 630509441600.

  • A: I got the one with the UPC# 630509441600 (DCPI # 87-10-0941) and it's NOT the BEACH version. I was glad I got this one because it looks more like the original--with spaces that curve around the body parts, making it more challenging. I like that the buzzer on this new version is not as jarring as it was when I was a kid.

    CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

    The game is fun of course, but the manufacturers really cheeped out. The walls are short in between sections, the sections are wide, so some of the pieces become completely hidden. There’s no storage drawer like the original to store the pieces.

    Dont bother buying

    Dislike: box damaged (no bid deal if game is ok)…demo batteries corroded (no big deal if it didn’t damage the component)…missing two of the ailments, pencil and bread (not sure how this is possible since the packaging appeared closed from factory). This was for a 6yo birthday party.

    Operation Game! Yay!
