Q: Has this product changed? I ordered what’s pictured, but it arrived with “new” printed on the box and no longer says “Glide threader floss” just “threader floss.” It’s also made of cotton like fibers that look like they’ll snag on my wire! Very annoying!

The packaging is nice with a colored threader on each end and multiple contained in each envelope. But the floss itself snags and makes fingernails on chalkboard sounds and feels terrible between my teeth.

It had higher ratings for the PREVIOUS style of flossing but they have changed it sometime in August 2024. Now the new flossing is completely useless. There are no good reviews since August 20th…therefore, it tack the version onto the previous ratings are MISLEADING! Shame on you Oral B.

The new version is horrible! It snags in my dental work and irritates my gums. I am looking for an alternative under a different brand. Oral B just lost a loyal customer. I purchased the old version faithfully for many years.

P&G changed what was previously threaded Glide floss that was a delight to use, and changed the material to something that shreds, gets stuck between teeth, and is a horrible experience. They are also much shorter now.

Disliked the new flossers, they are stringy and get caught in my brackets. They changed the material because the old ones came individually single use and these come in a packet. Do not recommend due to the stringy thread and it getting caught in teeth and brackets.

Old style was amazing. Updated style breaks in my teeth and is so hard to thread into permanent retainers. Awful, just awful. Do not buy this floss. Worst floss design ever.

I have a permanent retainer on my lower teeth that requires using a floss threader. When Oral-B first came out with the all-in-one threader floss (the original version), I was thrilled! It made it so much easier for me to maintain that area in my mouth, and my dental checkups improved. Unfortunately, they recently changed the product drastically, and it is terrible. It is not waxed floss. It is what they call "cushioned" floss, but it looks and feels like frayed fibers that do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do and that's NOT get caught in things like retainers, braces, etc. I have tried these a few times, and every single time I get tiny fibers stuck in my retainer and/or my teeth that are closer together, and I have to get them out either with regular floss or a water flosser. The last and final time, the threader broke off in my teeth. I'm done! I don't care for the packaging either. There are five threaders wound around a card, which is in an envelope. I preferred the individually wrapped flossers. PLEASE bring back the original design! It was perfect!

The new ones are AWFUL!! Please bring back the old individually wrapped threader floss with one threader at end! I have tried to like the new ones but ended up returning the ones I bought. They have the hard threader thing on each end so pulling it through bridge work is painful and difficult. I ended up cutting off the other "threader" but this leaves you with a shorter piece of floss. The new floss is also terrible compared to old. Anyway, bad change in my opinion. Wish I had stocked up before the change. The old ones are selling for a fortune online. PLEASE P&G bring back the old style.

The old product was great for flossing with braces; however, the new version tangles in braces and is difficult to get between teeth. Do not buy this new version. All other negative reviews are 100% right.

Why did u change this product? I've been using the old version floss for several years. The "new" version is horrible. Just as previous customers have stated, this floss is too flimsy to thread through my bridge, the floss dose not "glide", it shreds and breaks easily. So so disappointed! Please reconsider and go back to what was a great product.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I’ve been using this floss for over 20 years. I buy 6 boxes at a time. I received my last 6 boxes and noticed the new design on the box. I finally tried it after finishing my last box and it’s the worst EVER! It shreds very easy and breaks off and gets stuck where I need tweezers to try to get the broken pieces out. It only works when threading it under my bridge. Nothing like the boxes before. Don’t buy it!!!
