Oral-B iO Series 2 Electric Toothbrush

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I already have the Oral-B iO Series 5 electric toothbrush and love it, so I jumped at the chance to get an Oral-B iO Series 2 toothbrush for my husband. Oral-B is the brand my dentist recommends. The main difference in the iO Series 5 vs. the iO Series 2 is that the 5 has a "Sensitive" and "Super Sensitive" mode to choose from, while the 2 has "Super Sensitive" and "Gentle". The 5 also offers an "Intense" and "Whitening" mode, whereas the 2 offers "Daily Clean" as its third option. The 5 shows each mode on a display panel for you to select, and the 2 just shows the mode by 1, 2, or 3 light-pulses as you press the button. Both feature pressure sensors, but the 5 has a color coded light ring that alerts you if you are using too much or too little pressure in real time. The iO Series 5 takes up to 8 hours less charging time than the iO Series 2. The battery lasts quite long between charges on both. The grip on both versions makes it easy to hold. Each toothbrush connects to the Oral-B app via Bluetooth, but the 5 includes time zone and location information. Fancy features aside, both are great brushes and work similarly to remove plaque while being gentle on gums. The iO Series 2 has a 2-minute timer that alerts you every 30 seconds to change your brushing zone and fits all standard Oral-B iO brush heads. I personally prefer the "Gentle Care" brush. The Oral-B iO Series 2 is a great value for all of the features it includes and the brushing and dental cleaning experience it provides.

This has a built in 2 minute timer that helps him know when to switch sections of his mouth by vibrating every 30 seconds. It swirls allowing him to get all of his teeth, and reaches even the smallest of spots in his mouth!! It’s very quiet compared to other brands I’ve tried in the past. Has plenty of strength so it doesn’t stop if you put a little pressure! Definitely recommend!!

I like how gentle it is on my gums but still powerful. The brush is easy to use, and I don’t have to worry about changing batteries because I just charge it. The timer helps me brush for the right amount of time. It looks nice too. I'm really happy with it!

The vibration is strong, but not loud, and you can change the level if you like (I find the lowest setting to be perfectly fine). I tested this against my regular, non-electric toothbrush, and it absolutely cleans my teeth more thoroughly. I also tend to brush too hard, and I really like the automatic sensor that stops the brush when you press down too hard. My only critique is that I have some TMJ problems, and I found the vibration to be a bit uncomfortable at first, so if you also have jaw problems, there is a bit of a learning curve for positioning the toothbrush in a way that won't cause discomfort.

The battery life is great and lasts up to 40 hours after a charge. The only thing I didn’t like was when I opened it it looked like it has brown shavings or dried wood particles on it or something and it was all around the toothbrush and inside of the box. The good thing was the replaceable toothbrush head it came with was enclosed in brand new plastic on its own. The sound is not loud at all and it has 3 different vibrations settings from soft to fast. I love the smart features it has. With one simple touch power on, off and move through settings easily. It also has a pressure sensor and a 2 minute timer. I highly recommend this toothbrush it’s a really great toothbrush to have.

We finallly made the jump from a manual toothbrush and my only complaint is that we didn't do it sooner. My teeth have never felt cleaner! We went with the simpler iO series 2 from Oral-B since we didn't really find a need for the features from the more expensive ones and I'm happy we did. It does exactly what we need it to do.. AND it's cute! The peach color is adorable. I love that it holds a charge for so long so we don't need to worry about having them plugged in long term. We have used them for about a week now and haven't needed to charge yet! I highly recommend this toothbrush. It's a truly amazing value for the price.

Thought it was a win til i realize how often mass amounts of mold build up inside it. The pictures are one week of build up… i can’t believe Ive been using this. All the crevices are just filled with Mold.

Bought this because my dentist recommend it. However, it is disgusting! It harbors bacteria and gunk. I even tried storing it out in the open to help prevent it, but it still happened. I will be switching back to a manual toothbrush as this is gross 🤢

Brand new. Out of the box. Says it’s charged. But it doesn’t turn on. Nor is it actually charging when I plug it up

If I could give Oral-B electric toothbrushes zero stars, I would! We bought two brushes, and one of them stopped working within a month. We had to contact Oral-B for a refund, wait for a return label, and then send it back to them. I am still waiting on my refund, which has been a huge waste of time. My husband's toothbrush stopped charging last night, so his lasted only 1.5 months. I contacted Oral-B again, and this is their response: "Our 60-day money-back guarantee is limited to one refund per name, household, or address. We can, however, assist with the process of sending the brush to one of our service centers to get it back in working order." So, we can't get a refund for my husband's toothbrush since their 60-day policy only allows for one return per address! This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! Two toothbrushes stopped charging within 1.5 month.! I will never purchase from Oral-B again!

This brush harbors so much bacteria and gunk. I have to clean it multiple times a week for my son or it looks like this. My child has been sick 4 times since getting this toothbrush 3 months ago. It should have a class action lawsuit. Absolutely disgusting.

This is the absolute worst toothbrush I have ever purchased. From day one it randomly turns off every few seconds and doesnt restart again for 3-5 seconds. Tried charging overnight and still have the same problem. I ended up having to just manually brush my teeth with it. I've always purchased Oral B in the past but now have to shop for a new brand unfortunately.

This toothbrush won’t charge, therefore I am unable to use it. This item cannot be returned by mail, and The closest target to me is 2 hrs away.
