Oribe Maximista Thickening Spray, Heat-Activated Body, Boosts Volume & Lift, 1.7 oz

I am 36 years old, have never dyed my hair, and was not asked or incentivized by Oribe to write this review. I waited to share my thoughts until I had used this Oribe trio for about three months: the Hair Alchemy Fortifying Treatment Serum, the Supershine Moisturizing Cream, and the Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil. I wanted to be sure the results were real, especially given the price, and they are absolutely worth every penny. I have used Oribe’s Maximista Thickening Spray for years, and now I start applying the Hair Alchemy Fortifying Treatment Serum and the Supershine Moisturizing Cream once my hair is no longer soaking wet, just damp. Then I layer on the Maximista Thickening Spray before styling with my Dyson Airwrap. Once my hair is styled, I finish with a few drops of the Gold Lust Nourishing Hair Oil for extra shine and softness. My hair is thin but wavy, and this routine has completely changed how it looks and feels. It is the healthiest and longest it has been in years, and I finally feel confident growing it out. People constantly ask if I am taking Nutrafol (I am not). My hair is smoother, fuller, and glossier than ever, and it smells incredible. These products have turned doing my hair into a true luxury self care ritual.

I have used this for a month. I give it 3 stars for added volume, it gives some but not great volume when blow drying. I was very disappointed in the smell, which is why I dropped it to 2 stars overall. It smells just like hairspray, I had hoped it would have the classic Origen scent. Overall I was pretty disappointed in this product.

Just ok. It was marketed as replacement for Tres Set Structure Spray, which was awesome. It is nothing like it. It has a strong alcohol smell, leaves hair crunchy, and doesn’t provide volume as marketed.

A couple of years ago I grew out my died grey hair. In the process of getting used to grey hair a stylist used maximista thickening spray and Obrive feather balm products on my hair. I couldn’t get over the results…my hair was beautiful and shiny, the texture and lift was amazing, yet so light. For 4 days all I had to do in the morning was run my hands through my hair and I was set to go. I get compliments every day and not only from women, it’s been a real game changer!
