  • A: I believe almost all Oscar Mayer lunch meat items are Nitrate & Nitrite free. The best place to see if a specific item has the "no nitrate" claim is the right-hand side on the front of the packaging. (typically the 3rd carousel slot on Target.com). All turkey and ham SKUs should be safe; the only items that may contain nitrate/chemicals are Oscar Mayer bologna, fully-cooked chicken strips & roast beef. The Oscar Mayer "Natural" line is all safe as well, including the roast beef variant. Hope this helps!

    The perfect pre-packaged roast beef

    We love the Oscar Meyer Slow Roasted Roast Beef. It’s my favorite deli-style meat. The texture is perfect and feels like it’s fresh from the slicing machine at the deli. It’s perfectly roasted for a delicious and juicy slice without the gross slippery feel of many other brands, and it smells great! I’ve tried other brands and the texture and smells are off putting to say the least. The Oscar Meyer Sliw Riasted Riast Beef is the only pre-packaged version we purchase, and it’s a hit every time.

    It’s okay for not deli fresh sliced. I do get a bit of off taste as to this compared to the fresh. My Husband will take it for lunch. The upside is quick and easy storage, no high priced lunchmeat. It just doesn’t taste as good. Stores long

    Best thing next to actually deli meat

    Great option for sandwich’s. The quality is about as close to actually deli meat that you will find in prepackaged. I appreciate the fact that it doesn’t get an off putting odor after opening and stays fresh.

    Better than subway!

    Greasy taste! Add some green leaf lettuce to it with some mayo and even a side of potato chips and it’s a great meal. The meat is juicy and the color is great. Makes for a quick yet cheap meal.

    Oscar Mayer has one of the freshest pre packaged meats there are in the markets. I normally buy two trays at a time and lasts my family around 1.5 weeks. It makes such an easy snack or on the go meal.

    As close to deli counter as you can get in a package

    I am very particular about luncmeat. I only really eat fresh, rare roast beef. This is the only pre packaged that looks and tastes fresh every time I get it. It's the closest to deli counter as I have found.
