Bought the Commuter case for my Samsung 8+. I have one for my iPhone 7+ as well. Because the Samsung has the edge view - the case is not quite as substantially protective as the iPhone commuter. Definitely need to get gorilla glass protection in addition. But, overall, love the case.

I bought the glass and case. When I assembled it, the case barely holds onto the edges of the glass and stuff easily makes it way into the edge making the touch screen act up, having to take it apart all the time to clean the edge which is hard bc tbe glass has this glue stuff causing it to be a real problem. I loved it for my iPhone but the galaxy case I just don't like. But it keeps it from getting scratched and protects it when it gets dropped. But i cant put my phone in my pocket or purse bc the glass edge picks stuff up and also it constantly has to be tucked back under the rubber part. If the glass edge extended farther then the rubber could hold it.

I bought it because I have horrible luck with phone screens. This one doesn't have a face cover so I also have a Gorilla Glass protector over my phone screen, but overall this isn't bulky and my phone hasn't been damaged when I drop it.

Get a new phone, get a new otter box. I had to live with my Samsung 8 for a week without a case and in that time came to seriously resent the hardwired Bixby button. It's right below the volume buttons and directly across from the power button. I had hoped that the otter box button cover would be stiff enough to negate accidental depressions of the bixby button, but no luck. However, I was able, with a box cutter, to shave the bixby button cover down so that it is no longer an issue. I can depress the button deliberately but not accidentally. Perfect! And of course, I feel far more confident now that my phones is properly Otter Boxed.

The case is perfect as far as protecting my phone goes and it also doesn't add much bulk either which is a HUGE plus... but... I had to settle for colors that I didn't really want... but they were the best ones available IMO.

Does not protect the curved screen on my s8 plus. I'm constantly cracking it. I thought getting an outter box would help but it hasn't. They need a new design to help protect the curved screen.

We have several different styles of cases for that phone, but we actually might recommend our Alpha Glass screen protector. The fortified glass is applied separately to your phone screen, and is meant to "sacrifice" itself and crack before your actual phone screen does. I purchased this in conjunction with the aqua blue hard shell, and it looks great. The all black case I tried from the store did not fit perfectly and seemed it had a defect, but this case is amazing, and tempered glass screen protectors fit with this case

In the past I have been resistant to using an Otter Box for a phone cover. Many of my family members have used an Otter Box cover and really encouraged me to buy one when I bought my new phone. My last phone was dropped a lot and the digitizer was damaged. I decided to give the Commuter cover a try and LOVE IT! I have two small children and this cover has protected my phone when their little hands have gotten a hold of it. I appreciated the drop protection the cover offers as well as the color options. It is protective without being bulky. I will continue to buy an Otter Box cover to protect my phone!

The case fits perfectly and isn't too bulky. The purple/black combo looks great against my orchid grey s8+.
