Palmolive Original Ultra Strength Liquid Dish Soap - 42 fl oz

Over the years the scent of Palmolive has gotten stronger and stronger. I recently needed to switch my current dish soap, so I decided to give it another try. Not only is the scent still super strong, but it has changed to a fruity scent. It's okay at doing dishes and cutting grease, but I gag everytime I use it, and the scent stays on my dishes and glasses.

Cleans very well and leaves everything shiny.

It IS a differrent formula!!!! It was great for bathing our dog with sensitive skin. His fur was soft & clean. We used the new formula & it was Horrible!!!!! His fur was coarse & his skin turned red and he was itching like Crazy. I’m NOT putting my hands in it for dishes anymore. If you want a degreaser, you will probably like it. If you remember ‘Madge - you’re soaking in it’ ads, it’s HORRIBLE. This Palmolive is like ‘New Coke’

I purchased a bottle as well as a replacement jug of soap. This was the newly 200% degreaser. I am truly disappointed with this new product. The first time I used it the new smell was overwhelmingly chemical and it dried out and burnt my skin. It hasn’t recovered since yesterday. This new formula is far too caustic for every day household use. I for one will no longer be purchasing this product from Palmolive for this reason. I also find it hugely inconvenient to use the product in a household as it’s so caustic you need to to wear gouges every time you wash a dish which is highly inconvenient. I liked the previous formula. It really cleaned my kitchen well, wasn’t hard on my hands and I could wash a quick dish. Not the case with the new formula. It stinks! Whoever came up and approved it didn’t really understand his folks do dishes. Not all of us use dishwashers. As a matter of fact many don’t. My family has used Palmolive products for over 60 years and I will have to hunt for a different product. Shame on this company.

My hands were burning while I washed the dishes. On top of that the smell is strong and unpleasant. What did y’all do to the formula?!

It washes the dishes well it is great fir grease and you only need a small amount

I used your IMPROVED FORMULA without realizing until my hand were extra dry and irritated. I discovered your new formula. I returned the product and searched for the old brand that still might be on the shelf. I proceeded to purchase the last 2 32.5 oz. I first began to use this product 30 years ago.

I grew up using this and after Dawn changed their scent for the worse, I figured Palmolive wouldn't ruin a good thing. I was wrong. This is no longer the Palmolive original, the only thing that is the same is the green color. It has a different fragrance which smells like fabric softener. I don't want my dishes to smell like cheap perfume. I'm returning this and now going to buy seventh generation, which doesn't work well, but doesn't aggravate my allergies. I have sensitivities to fragrances, and while the old Palmolive Original scent never bothered me, this one is awful. If something has been around for decades and it isn't broke, please don't "fix" it.

So much for your soaking in it .My hands are so dried out and my finger tips are peeling.I hope I can still get the original.

I feel the product in the larger bottle is less watery like the smaller bottles

The scent is terrible - it won't wear off my skin no matter how much I rinse, and this "improved formula" does not cut grease as well as the previous version.

Why change a good healthy eco friendly product! If just for marketing you are loosing loyal customers! Revert back and market that!

The new improved formula should be reconsidered. My dish water does not feel clean, it has a yuck feeling while washing. Also, the soap suds are few and they do not last long enough.

Go back to the old formula! This is now so watered down. Plus you added methylisothiazolinone, which is a major skin allergen. Why, just why?

So disappointed with the change. Do not like the new smell and the new strength dries out my skin so bad I can’t use it. Searching everywhere for the original 👎🏻😟😢

Because it had leaked out and the top was cracked, and they knew that, they took it back and wiped it off and sent it to me

I just bought your new improved and I find it horrible compared to your older type. It is not improved at all. Why improve something that was working great. Go back to the original ultra. I will not buy this one again. So disappointed. I was regular buyer as was my daughter. Not anymore.

Why do you companies need to take something good and ruin it? It was bad enough you changed the original green Palmolive a few years back to “ultra strength” but now you've changed that too. Its terrible! It doesn't suds up, doesn't clean and smells like nasty chemicals. If you want to make a new product , great, but leave what already works alone! If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Also, for anybody else with allergies, asthma or chemical sensitivities….I was able to use the old formula with no problem. The new one caused shortness of breath and eye burning. Have to find another product. Thanks Palmolive!

I used Palmolive dish detergent for many, many years and I will never buy it again. It smells so bad. Please bring back the original formula.
