Pantene Pro-V Hair Heat Protectant Spray - 7.2 fl oz

Easy to use. I do not use this everyday but I do use it the days that I use heat on my hair. It doesn't seem to build up in my hair or leave a residue. I have used it for a few months and both my teenage daughters use it everyday. They both love this product and I have purchased them multiple bottles.

Do yourself a favor and do not buy this product. I switched to this from the CHI heat protectant as a way to try to save money. And you definitely get what you pay for because this is terrible. The first couple uses were fine, my hair felt soft as usual. But, after about two weeks, my hair started feeling waxy, heavy, and seemed like it was actually breaking off more from heat use compared to if I just didn't use a heat protectant at all. It even left a goss waxy film on my flat iron plates. I switched back to CHI and I'm desperately trying to get my hair back to it's normal texture, but this product really did a number on it. I keep seeing the company's replies to these poor reviews and in many of them it appears they're having a hard time with accountability. Humbling advice for the company: if multiple people are having the same experience with your product, perhaps its not user error and you should just thank them for their feedback, apologize sincerely, and be proactive in making changes instead of giving patronzing advice on how they should be caring for their hair and it can't possibly be the products fault since you have quality control. In one response they actually told someone they were "applying to much product" yet the instructions on the bottle say to "apply liberally." So maybe don't put that on the bottle if you don't actually know what it means.

This item is a great item if it would have been delivered in good condition. It arrived in a box with some conditioner. The box was too large for the items and there was no protection to prevent the items from rolling around and leaking. I’m very disappointed with how the items arrived since a good deal of this product had leaked.

I've used about a half a bottle of this and cannot get over the sticky, feeling it leaves on my hair and my skin! It has also dried my hair out a lot and never looks smooth and shiny when I use this product no matter how I use it.

This product smells so good, typical Pantene scent, HOWEVER it makes my hair feel so weird, sticky, fragile, gross. I will be returning it..

It feels heavy and waxy.

I used this for about 6 weeks before I realized it was causing my hair to break off. I didn’t change anything else. I would avoid this product!

I used this for like three weeks and it literally fried my hair to a crisp. I use heat on my hair everyday and have for years but nothing has ever damaged my hair more than this spray. it was so bad my boyfriend could smell how fried my hair was and I had to cut off all the damage because it was breaking off anyways.

Great product, leave the hair wonderful.

I love this spray. I used to buy something similar long ago but then couldn’t find anything like it. I have shoulder length, very thin and fine hair. Nothing will make my style stay. Since I found this I spray on damp hair, dry with Revlon volumizer brush dryer and spray with Tresseme UltaFine Mist (also from Target) and I get a good half day of perfection, then a ‘decent’ hairdo rest of day. Yay!

Protects my hair but smells like chemicals. I have to step out of the room after spraying it.

This product does a great job protecting my hair. I love the smell too. I noticed it helps my hair not smell burnt after I curl my hair. I recommend it! I’ve used it for years, I personally wouldn’t believe the negative reviews.

I should have read the reviews beforehand, but Pantene has never let me down before until this product. I say stay away I followed the directions as it has on the bottle as soon as I sprayed it I knew something was not right. I sprayed it on and I ran my fingers through my hair I noticed it felt pretty waxy. I had no other protection for my hair so I continued to straighten my hair, my hair is thick and curly as soon as I finished straightening my hair I brush through it and the amount of hair that came out… oh my god I wish I didn’t do my hair with it. It left it waxy and damaged. Straighter was at 370. And there is still more hair in my trash.

It’s sticky & has an unpleasant smell. It takes FOREVER for my hair to dry & it doesn’t seem to actual protect against heat. Save your money & don’t buy this.

My hair has never been more dead :(

My hair has gone from being thick, soft and wavy to waxy, dead and falling out. I bought this about 3 months ago and I wish I hadn't. Its the only thing I've changed in my hair routine. I'm currently taking Biotin and Biosil to reverse damage and making an appointment to have my hair stripped and cut. I've never ever had a product do this. It took me a while to realize what was happening and by the time I did it was too late. My hair is ruined.

It made it easy and quick to straighten my hair. Best product for straightening .

I wish I had never started using this stuff. It has totally fried my hair for some reason. I was using another product that had a heat protectant in it previously, so there must be something about this product that just does not do well with my hair. I'm trying to undo the frame as we speak.

Product doesn't leave my hair feeling dirty, and my hair doesn't feel as heat damaged after using it consistently. Has a really nice scent to it.
