[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have typically had good luck with these beds (I have three), but for whatever reason the cowhide covers are shedding in chunks and I am worrying about bald spots in the beds. I initially thought maybe it was loose fuzz but I’ve had these on for almost two weeks and it’s only gotten worse. I love the looks but the tiger and polar bear covers I used previously never shed anything like these.

I am so happy that Paw.com offers replacement covers! Through improper care (washing/drying without zipping up), the inside of the last cover became worn and started falling apart, but now that I know how to care for properly (zip it up, Folks), this one should last a while. My dogs love this bed, so I really didn't want to throw it out because I ruined their cover. This cover is fuzzy, comfortable, and looks great as a "throw rug". Thank you, Paw.com for having replacement covers for people like me!

My dog loves this bed. However, I feel like the cover has gone down in quality. My first one was purchased about 2 years ago, and lasted more than a full year of daily use (by my dog) before the fur starts coming out from the bed. This new cover started "shedding" almost immediately and I would find balls of brown fur everywhere in the house.
