Description
Philips Avent Anti-colic with AirFree vent bottles are designed to reduce feeding issues: such as colic, gas, and reflux. The unique AirFree vent is designed to draw air away from the nipple keeping it full of milk to avoid air ingestion. This vent also keeps the nipple full of milk even when the bottle is held horizontal, allowing for upright feeding. Feeding in an upright position can help to reduce reflux and aid in digestion. The nipple shape is designed for a secure latch for a comfortable feed. The bottle is easy to clean and assemble with few parts. The AirFree vent is only one piece and is easy to clean without any special tools. The Anti-colic bottle features a valve, integrated into the nipple, that reduces vacuum buildup and reducing air into your baby’s tummy. The Anti-colic bottle can be used with or without the AirFree vent, giving you the option based on your baby’s feeding needs. The soft silicone nipple is available in different flow rates for babies of all ages, flows 1-4. We recommend using the Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottle with Philips Avent Anti-colic bottle nipples. Includes 3 Blue, 9oz, Anti-colic bottles with AirFree vent with Flow 2 nipples. SCY703/23

Anti colic Air free green insert crumbling after

After two months of use, the green AntiAir insert started crumbling. This is dangerous because small pieces can get into the bottle, and the baby might swallow them. I always sterilize the bottles with Avent’s sterilizer, so this might be the reason for the crumbling.
Even if its closed properly. It leaks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I dont recommend this bottle. I prefer the Natutal bottle. This anti coloc thing causes some leaks around the nipple and the plastic holder. I would return if i could. Or excahnge it with Natiral bottle.

Hi there, Thank you for sharing your review. We’re sorry to hear that your Philips Anti-colic bottle with AirFree vent is leaking. We would like to let you know that incorrect assembly is the reason for leakage in 50% of cases. Make sure the nipple is inserted properly through the screw ring and is suitably tightened on the bottle without being overtight. Wet bottles are particularly difficult to close since they slip. Hence, it is best advised to dry the bottle before closing it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Myself and ny husband as new parents were very impressed by Philips anti-colic bottles. We started using it for feeding our baby right from her initial weeks and she could easily get used to bottle-feeding. The main reasons were the amazing power of the inner valves which could control the pace of flow and help immensely in avoiding gas entrapment. These bottles are also very easy for cleaning as every part can be disassembled. Great product and would certainly recommend to all parents!
So much LEAKING!

We have used these bottles for a month and the leaking has been very frustrating. We make sure the vent is in properly every time and it pops out continuously leaking sometimes a half ounce of breastmilk. It can take 3 tries to get it right. We use the Avent bottle warmer, and warm it up with the vent inside, is that affecting the vent? I can’t find an answer. I want to like these bottles, my baby does well with them, but am considering a switch.

My baby bottles are all Phillips Avent, but this baby air free bottle is leaking milk some how. At first, I thought the top might not be on properly, but later found out it's a top part issue.

We had leakage problems with several packages of the 4 ounce bottles we bought, but they were all the same lot number. We exchanged them and haven’t had any more issues. I wish that there was a sippy cup conversion kit specifically for the anti colic bottles. These bottles aren’t cheap and once your baby is used to them and you’ve invested in 21 bottles of the 4 ounce, 21 bottles of the 9 ounce and 11 ounce sizes it would be nice to be able to convert them instead of having to start all over with a different size/shape/brand.

I have been using these bottle for two months. And now I have a collection of random bottles that leak from the “air vent” on the nipple. These are the absolute worst bottles. 6 years ago I would swear by them they were the best! But now after having to change my baby girls outfit multiple times a day I have to give just one star. They use to be great but no matter what I do I can’t get them to stop leaking from the side of the nipple. Aweful.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the Philips Avent Anti-colic Bottle. This is not the kind of experience we want you to have with our product. We recommend that you follow these steps while assembling the bottle to avoid leakage. Place the AirFree vent insert in the bottle before you assemble the screw ring with the nipple. Place the cap vertically on the bottle so that the nipple sits upright. The nipple is easier to assemble into the screw ring if you move it back and forth while pulling it upwards instead of pulling it up in a straight line. Please always make sure the nipple is full of milk by turning the bottle upside down before feeding your baby. While feeding, make sure that the AirFree vent insert points upward, in line with your baby’s nose. Also note that the Philips Avent Anti-colic bottles can be used without the AirFree vent insert. We hope this helps improve your experience. However, in case the issue still persists or you have any additional questions, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and Twitter (@PhilipsCare). Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. The bottle seems great in theory, but not when it’s constantly spilling milk. After only a month or so of use with these bottles we began to notice the “air free vent” piece wouldn’t seal properly to the bottle and caused milk to leak from the nipple area. Of about 15 bottles that we have, almost all of them have begun to leak. Causing mom to get upset about losing the milk she worked hard for, and if we don’t catch the leak in time, baby ends up soaked in his food.

I bought a pack of Anto-colic bottles and I loved them so much I ordered another pack. At first the bottles were great but after a month they all started leaking around the nipple and would get my baby all wet. I didn’t have a problem with the first pack so I’m very disappointed about having to look for something else.

Hi Malish, Thanks for reaching out to us regarding your new Avent Anti-Colic Baby Bottles. We are sorry to hear that they have been leaking, that must be inconvenient for you and your little one, and we hope we can help you both! When assembling, be sure to pull the nipple up so that it’s flush with the rest of the bottle. In addition to that, check if the bottle is still leaking 30 seconds after warming, as the bottle needs to equalize after having hot fluids inside, we recommend letting the bottle cool for 30 seconds without the cap on. If you have any further questions, please feel free to get in touch via social media. We’re available 24/7 on Facebook and Twitter. Alternatively, you can reach out to us via the contact page on our website www.philips.com/support. One of our colleagues will then try their best to help you further. Hope to speak to you soon!
