The SH 50 is the replacement for the HQ8. With the new blades it is impossible to get a close shave. The blades have been re-designed as well as the outer combs. A small improvement is to use your old HQ8 outer combs with the new blades but still not acceptable . A Norelco user for the past 35+ year...see moreof the reviewer's review

The new blades i received SH50 did not give me a close clean shave as have the past blades i replaced at 6 month interval. After close examination i noticed the new blades are narrower and do not have the brass/copper spring attached to the second cutter. See photo. Can i get the ones with the older...see moreof the reviewer's review

I replaced the shaving heads on my 10-month old AT810 razor with the recommended new SH50 blades. The SH50 blades do not perform nearly as well as the old ones. Shaving takes twice as long and the results are horrible. The new blades don't cut very well and leave stubble. Time to move on from Norelc...see moreof the reviewer's review

like others have said. Disappointed in new design of separate trimmer head, power switch location, quality of shave after only a couple months, power cord shutting down shaver, cost of replacement heads that wear out so quickly, and stiffness of new cord compared to recoiling style of my previous sh...see moreof the reviewer's review

I was skeptical of electric razors but this does the job getting to the difficult areas, I.E. under the chin, etc. But would not wait more than 2 days to shave . Accompanied with a nice fitting case, and cleans with a minute or so rinse without doing any damage to heads. And its a nice bonus, the ...see moreof the reviewer's review

Poor Quality and Poor Design

I bought model no. S5355, after my old Norelco died, as it was advertised to be quicker and more comfortable. Both were incorrect, whether on regular or high power. It takes twice as long to shave as my prior Norelco because the shaver heads are so far apart they miss wide areas. The blades get dull...see moreof the reviewer's review

I had long ago given up on electric shavers: they never seemed to give me a close enough shave. Tiring of disposal razors and the like, decided to treat myself to an upper end electric shaver with the hope the years gone by had led to vast improvements. I can say unequivocally this S5200 fits the b...see moreof the reviewer's review

To those frustrated with installing heads; read the instructions. There are two curved points in the otherwise circular head so that the head doesn't move, just the blades. You have to line these up perfectly. It is a little hard to see where they go but they are equidistant from the center axis of ...see moreof the reviewer's review
