This product is about useless. My 10 year old Norelco base model still shaves better then this 9400 purchased May 29 2025. Maybe I got just a bad product but I've probably owned 5 Norelco's before this and this one just does not shave well. I'm going back to my old razor and threw this one in a draw for someone to inherit when I die.

It does not give me an adequate shave each time I use it. I usually have to go back over areas to try to end up with a close shave. One certain thing is is the shaving blade is set too far in with metal spacing, so I cannot get close to my nose and other areas of my face. You have to bring the razor into your side burn area to trim the lower portion at the bottom of your side burns. I have spent a lot of money for this razor and the cleaning system to make sure and get the complete experience of this razor. i was wanting to find one that I could depend on for a good shave. I will tell you now that the cleaning system was a waste of my money. I am having to take my blades out to get a proper clean between shaves. I maybe a bit leary of my next Philips purchase, because I was suspecting so much with this razor.

It doesn't clean like my 8000 series pod. The most useful thing I miss is the drying and how it smelled in the 8000 series. That was an excellent function, and I have no clue why that function was removed.

I have had this model ( Philips Norelco Wet & Dry Shaver Series 9000 Shaver 9400) for about 1 1/2 years. It is very loud during brushing. Even at the lowest level! I don’t recommend the 9000 series at all for the price of the product.

That one was pulling hairs more & more, so rather than invest in new heads, I figured I'd try an upgrade. Night & day difference. Even 4 day growth is no problem for the new shaver, & it's a much closer shave with no irritation & no more missed spots I have to work at. Quite impressed. Now, if it'll last as long as the last one.............

Upper lip doesn't like this razor

Nice, quick comfy shave, very relaxed and quiet compared to foil shavers. Doesn’t require hardly any pressure. I wanted to love it but I returned it because I can’t get my upper lip shaved properly with this razor. Nicks me at the lip line and doesn’t feel safe up there. Too bad. And I have the angular heads. Many years ago when they were round I had one and liked it more. I think the angular heads make it harder to safely get into the upper lip area.
