Disappointing Shaver
I am disappointed with this shaver. A lot of money spent on a shaver which I consider was not designed correctly. The rotating cutting blades' foils have a large amount of metal surface around the circumference of the foils. As a result, one is unable to shave the upper lip, near to the nose. Who would have ever thought up this poorly designed shaver head? I have come from a different brand of shaver, which had a built in trimmer feature, which was useful to trim the stray hair and nose hairs. I am missing this feature with the Philips shaver. It is a fiddly process to remove the cutting blades from the foils in order to clean the shaver. This shaver does not give me a close shave; even after several weeks, thinking it might have needed time to "settle in" to my face and shaving style.

Best shaver on the market by a mile
I have almost always owned a Philips Shaver. I deviated from this brand after my previous Philips was so old parts were no longer compatible. I was cajoled into buying a different brand with which I was desperately disappointed. I have now bought the S9000 Prestige and it honestly is that far ahead of the other brand in quality, quietness, smoothness and every feature any man would be looking for. I recommend it highly.

It is a terrific razor!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice razor with the closest shave I've ever had with electric/battery razor from Norelco! The only thing I don't like is the travel bag. It looks like a generic, instead of having one made especially for this premium razor. I also like the cleaning container to put it in after every shave. I did find I had to remove it from the container when I got to bed so it will be dry the next morning when I shave.

This latest version, the S9000 Premier, is the best shaver yet. It gives phenomenally close shaves and is easy to use and clean. I like the automatic cleaning in the pod. Prepare to be amazed
I'm a recent hire at Philips, but I've used Philips Norleco shavers for a very long time. This shaver however is absolutely amazing - from the look, feel, sound and of course the shave. I'm getting a multi-razor shave in a fraction of the time and without the skin irritation. It literally has me shaving more.

Good shaver but very badly designed case
Great shaver with a very badly designed case. The shaver comes with a USB cordless charging pad and a couple of trimmers. The shaver and the trimmers fit very loosely in the case, but the charging pad will not fit inside the case, as it is too small to accommodate it. How did that case ever get approved and put into production? Did no-one at Philips think it would have been a good idea to have a travel case that would accommodate both the shaver and the charger? Now when I go on holiday, I will either have to pack the shaver in the travel case but leave the charger loose in my suitcase, where it will be at risk of being damaged, or pack both without the case, to save space, but risk both getting damaged. Very poor design Philips with clearly no thought at all given to how the product will actually be stored and carried around in luggage. Cannot therefore give more than 4 stars.

Very good smooth shave
I have used Philips rotary shavers for years. recently upgrade to the Phillips S9000 prestige and have not been disappointed. The shave it gives is definitely the closest and smoothest I have had from an electric shaver. It is comfortable and easy to use and the included washer keeps it very clean and healthy. Although you can leave it in the washer I prefer once it has drained to remove it to let it dry. It does not come with a stand for this but luckily my son has 3D printed the perfect stand which holds the shaver vertical and also holds the trimmer attachment. Its a pity this was not included.

I bought the Philips S 9000 Prestige shaver, which is very good, despite the cost of 4999 Swedish kronor. Unfortunately the travel case provided is too small and I am hoping to get the correct one - some day! The right case is important to protect both the charger and the shaver and had I been given the correct one I would have awarded five stars. Stop cutting yourself with antique razor blades and buy the best 9000 series shaver you can afford.

This product will give you a great shave
I have used foil razors and rotary razors but I keep coming back to Philips electric shavers. Using a method which breaks down the process into segments, I get a really great shave using shaving cream. The key is not to overload the electric shaver with the shaving cream. It’s a great device which is well worth having.
