Q: Why do you think we have USB outlets in our BATHROOMS? Seems silly to recharge my toothbrush in my office. Was going to buy one for my husband, but now I'm not.

  • A: Hello there! Many modern bathroom gadgets, like electric toothbrushes come with USB charging options. Having a USB outlet in the bathroom means you can charge these devices where you use them most.

Q: i have an older model where the power stand plugs into the wall. Can i use this to charge the brush or do i need to use the base with the USB powered base.

submitted by Sylvia - 2 years ago
  • A: Hello! For optimal performance, we recommend using the charger that came with your Philips Sonicare toothbrush. Some charger models are interchangeable, so if your Sonicare toothbrush has a hole at the base of its handle, it can use our chargers with a fixed pin.

HX3665 Sonic toothbrush - Good value & easy to use

My Philips sonic toothbrushes are built to last. I like the built-in quad timer that assists me with my brushing time. It does a good job of cleaning my teeth and is easier to use than my manual toothbrush. I recharge the toothbrush once a week and have had no problems to date. My one concern is replacement toothbrush heads - they are not easily obtained in my local drugstores.

    Great product & reasonably priced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Periodontist recommended this series when I was telling him I need a new Sonicare. Usually I get the more expensive ones. This one is so reasonably priced, has the 2 minute timer. I like the simplicity of it, no grooves on the handle and easy to keep clean. Gets the job done, my teeth and gums always feel clean!

better construction than older model, easy cleaning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually liked the older one better, but that is just about overall feel. If this one is at least 2x effective, as they say, then the feel doesn't really matter. On the other hand, the way it is constructed is such that I won't have the problem of water getting into the area where the magnet is or the grime in the base. Everything is self-contained or open and visible.

A simple meat and potatoes electric toothbrush. No whistle and bells like the more expensive toothbrushes. I do miss the plugin charging stand but I was able to use my old one. The USB charging stand will be nice for traveling. It's a good idea to register your product through phillips.com. They will extend your warranty.

    n/a

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made a huge mistake purchasing this toothbrush, I think it should probably lean towards a first time user of Sonicare toothbrushes, like maybe a child of 6 years old; definitely not an adult.

    Does a great job

I had tried an electric toothbrush years ago and didn’t like it, but then I tried sonicare and I love it. I just got a basic model that has a pulse change at 30 seconds so you know to move around your brush during the two minute brush time. It holds the charge for two weeks and is very light and easy to use. This does a much better job than I do with a manual brush.

    Simple

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the 9000 series for quite a few years now and loved it. I didn’t want to spend that much on a new one and figured the base bristle motion would be the same regardless of model. I was wrong. This is a nice light simple brush that I think I would recommend for kids. It just doesn’t feel like it gets my teeth clean enough.

I am enjoying my new tooth brush

I am enjoying my new tooth brush and impressed with how it cleans. The USB charging is very slow, which is probably a good thing for battery life, but may be too slow for many people. The on / off switch plastic membrane feels very thin and probably won’t last very long before it is damaged and allows water into the tooth brush handle. Once a small amount of water enters it will never be dry inside.
