Description

Improve your gum health up to 100% better than a manual toothbrush with the ProtectiveClean 5100 rechargeable electric toothbrush. It has a pressure sensor that protects teeth and gums from excess brushing pressure. Brush heads wear out over time. Our BrushSync technology tracks how long you have been using your Optimal Gum Care brush head and how hard you have been brushing. Your electric toothbrush will beep to inform you when to replace your brush head. Customize your own brushing experience with your choice of 3 modes: Clean, White and Gum Care. The easy-start feature slowly increases the power of the brush as you get used to the Sonicare experience and the smartimer encourages a full 2 minutes brushing time as recommended by your dental professional. The battery charge indicator light lets you know when it is time recharge; 2 week battery life. The kit includes 1 ProtectiveClean 5100 handle, 1 Optimal Gum Care brush head, 1 charger, 1 travel case.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement for a defective toothbrush from another brand-so- a lot of my opinions are comparisons. This toothbrush is awesome! It stays on the setting you put it on, so no having to click it to the right setting every use. It cleans very well and has a narrower brush to get clear back in the mouth. It doesn't get all gunky when you use it-not sure why so much difference between the "other" and this one. It does not have open slots in the brush head for toothpaste and saliva to collect in like the "other" This also came with a handy little travel case, which I also use to store extra heads when not traveling. It's even more comfortable/less awkward to use. Going forward-this is the only brand I will use/buy. Overall- a great toothbrush!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is exactly what I needed. The body is lighter and has a smaller circumference than the very old model I had been using for many years. I was drawn to the feature that concentrates on gum care. I feel as though I am properly caring for my mouth.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I actually brush my teeth rather than avoiding it, so that's huge. It's a pleasant and enjoyable teeth-brushing experience. I also love that you have the clean, whitening, and gum options that go for longer periods of time, and maybe more vibrations or something to boost those options, but it feels really nice on the gums. And the whitening option does just that: whitens. Your teeth also feel cleaner longer than when using a manual brush. It's more like how they feel after your six-month cleaning, very clean and smooth. You get that experience every time you use this toothbrush, and not only once every six months.

Toothbrush is very long and clumsy. The head is VERY flimsy and feels like it's going to break. Tried to be gentle and let the brush work but then it didn't clean very well. Just about the same as a disposable one. Got the case for travel but the latch does not work at all. Will be returning.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My prior Sonicare lasted a bit over 20 years ... AMAZING!!! So, when the battery would no longer charge there was no question what make of electric toothbrush I would be buying. But now, 20+ years since my last Sonicare purchase, there were so many models to choose from. I opted for the 5100 as it seemed to be the one that maximized the options important to me. I've been using the 5100 for ~6 months now ... so far so good. However, I immediately noted their difference in apparent sturdiness ... the retired Elite e-series Sonicare was a solid workhorse ... the 5100 appears much more fragile, only time will tell.
