Description
Philips Sonicare ProtectiveClean 6100 rechargeable electric toothbrush delivers up to 100% less stains in just 7 days to whiten your teeth in just 1-week vs a manual toothbrush. It has a pressure sensor that protects teeth and gums from excess brushing pressure. Brush heads wear out over time. Our BrushSync technology tracks how long you have been using your brush head and how hard you have been brushing. It will beep to inform you when to replace your brush head. Customize your own brushing experience with intensity settings and your choice of 3 modes: Clean, White and Gum Care. The easy-start feature slowly increases the power of the brush as you get used to the Sonicare experience and the smartimer encourages a full 2 minutes brushing time as recommended by your dental professional. The battery charge indicator light lets you know when it is time recharge; 2 week battery life. Includes 1 handle, 1 DiamondClean brush head, 1 charger, and 1 travel case. Compatible with all Philips Sonicare snap on brush heads, 2 year warranty.

Q: It sounds like the toothbrush tracks brush wear, how can it be used with two people?
submitted by ebramb - 2 years ago
A: Hello! Philips Sonicare toothbrushes can be used by two or multiple people as long as different brush heads are used. Depending on each person's brush head, the toothbrush will determine whether it already needs to be replaced once it is placed on the handle.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good, inexpensive model which odes not rotate.Instead, it just vibrates. Due to frequent vibration per minute, the metal mile that the toothbrush head goes into may get loosen in a few years. Thus, it must be used with care. I had to get mine replaced through warranty with no cost.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was surprised at first by how the brush performed and sounded. It truly is sonic. It has greatly improved my oral cleaning procedure for both morning and before bedtime. This toothbrush makes me feel like I am healthier - that my whole mouth is clean, not just my teeth. Brushing with the ProtectiveClean 6100 gives me a great sense of confidence with my health. I am very, very, happy with this brush!

Works great, love the purple color. It takes a little getting used to using the appropriate pressure so the toothbrush doesn't buzz to tell me I'm brushing too hard - but that means it's a helpful feature for me! IMO the only downside is that the handle is a little too smooth; it becomes slippery when wet and makes me a little concerned I might accidentally drop it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my new toothbrush. After flossing I take my time and brush my teeth on the cleaning setting and afterwords my teeth are like glass when I go over them with my tongue. The only negative aspect about this electric toothbrush is the material that the replaceable brush heads are made of. That hard plastic sometimes makes contact with my teeth as I am brushing and other feels like the brush head could damage my teeth. It would be great if Philips could make the tips of the replaceable brush heads out of a softer plastic or rubber.

I have now purchased two Sonic electric toothbrushes and both stopped working after a few years, and always after the warranty had expired. I would have expected that a product that expensive would have a longer lifetime before dying on me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My new setup is great. I use the brush head that came with the unit so I'm not sure if it is the unit or the head that is over the top. I feel "dentist clean" after every use. I definitely love the pressure sensitive indicator feature.

I love this toothbrush! It alerts you every 30 seconds so you can spend the proper amount of time on each quadrant. You don't need to actively "brush" as the vibration takes care of that for you. Sounds weird but by the time you're done, there are no bubbles left in your toothbrush. Very nice. Only down side is it's a little frightening when the backside of the brush hits a tooth. Phillips needs to consider rubber reinforcement around the periphery of the brush head. The competing refills already do! That said, I'm very satisfied with this toothbrush! Love it!

I have had this toothbrush for roughly ten months now. A week ago, it just stopped charging. I thought it was the charger, so I bought another one, which would not charge it either. Hopefully, I can exchange it. I threw away the box about a month ago because I was moving, and it was working fine. I gave it four stars instead of five because of the charging issue.

So I submitted a review earlier this week which reflected on my Philips customer service experience. I received a followup email which stated my review would not be posted. Here’s a quote from the company email: “Unfortunately your review hasn’t been published because it doesn’t meet our Philips content guidelines. 1. directs business away 2. contains inappropriate content Would you like to have another go? You can resubmit your review.” I did not post inappropriate content. I documented honestly the issues I had with my experience over multiple attempts over two days to make a purchase. That was it. No company is perfect. I identified an issue in a review. Btw, I and members of my household own other Philips products. Caveat emptor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I much prefer the original Philips Sonicare (HX5610 - 150825) but unfortunately it is not manufactured anymore. It is a shame they had to redesign what was a fine product. The new Philips Sonicare (HX369BK - 220606) comes with a much smaller C2 brush head. It does not have the same brushing action as the original Sonicare. The base is very lightweight and not as supportive as the original. You cannot plug the new version into an electrical outlet. You have to buy a USB adapter.
