This is my first at-home chemical peel product I've ever purchased and was nervous about potential allergic reactions/purge phase due to it's higher percentage of glycolic acid compared to other products on the market. Turns out, it's been a great start to chemical peels for me! I use it about 1-2x a week. The other days I may do a physical exfoliation and this routine has worked out fine for me. I deal with congested pores that make my skin look slightly bumpy, after having started this I've noticed my face becoming much much smoother in texture and for the first time I feel like I have clear skin. I do still have some acne scars and dark spots healing and I do still get some congested bumpy pores around my jawline but it seems less frequent/noticeable - I think using a BHA instead may help with that but I've yet to try it. I will say that I only leave it on for 2-2.5mins because the tingling gets a little too much for me and I have to rinse my face with copious amounts of water after to get rid of the tingliness.
Quick tip - if the top pads feel dry, store the jar upside down so the solution will soak the top pads first.
Before I start, I would like to let you know that I have normal to dry skin but it's dry during the winter. I bought this about two months ago because I wanted more glowing and even skin. Before I purchased the product, my skin was clear, and I was just worried about my pretty deep laugh lines. It's deep enough that no matter how or what makeup I apply, there will always be visible creases and makes me appear way older than I am. Intentionally, I didn't buy for my wrinkles, but it worked. My laugh lines didn't disappear, but it was reduced by a little. Aside from that, I've gotten compliments from many people, and they're always asking me about my skin care routine for my glowing skin. I usually get a pimple or two once a month, but I don't remember getting any since using this product. I do believe you'll see results by the next day like me. My night skin care routine is simple, and i use the peeling pads all over my face AND neck then I rub the excess from the pad on my hands. I usually followed the instructions and wait for two minutes. I only use the pads twice a week. After rinsing and drying my face, I would apply a toner and allow the toner to air dry first then apply my moisturizer. Recently, I've left the pixi peel on my face for 5 minutes than the usual 2 minutes, and I can feel my skin tightening, especially around my laugh-lines in the morning. I won't recommend, and I believe I was able to do that because my skin already got used to the solution. Please don't overdo it and MY opinion that you should never use it more than three times a week. I am not a professional and just experimenting on my skin.
i'm not in love with this, but only because i LOVE the bliss glycolic peel pads. these are a little smaller and if you're not used the glycolic acid, needs to be rinsed with water to neutralize the peel, which is an added step. even though it's a higher glycolic acid percentage, i feel like my skin was softer and smoother with the bliss pads.
good product for the value, but definitely not my favorite.
Use it weekly as I have "mature" skin and so far it seems to work as indicated. I follow the instructions to the letter and like how soft my facial skin feels after several uses now. Would not recommend daily, as I see some do. A good price for the number of pads.
