Q: Can you really make whipped coffee "dalgona" with this milk frother? I've tried it with a milk frother and it didn't work.
submitted by Hn - 3 months ago
A:Â Yes it is possible! A milk frother is the best way to make whipped coffee Dalgona. We recommend making sure you use a powerful milk frother with high rotation per minute likes ours and having the right ingredients such as to create the Dalgona such as instant coffee, sugar, and hot water.
Works great for mixing collagen powder into water, however the motor died after 2 months of daily use!

This was great until it wasn't. We purchased because of all the grand reviews and I loved almost everything about it. I really appreciate the stand. With 4 kids who help with dishes, it would have been tossed under a bunch of heavy utensils and squashed it.But....it died anyway no fault to anything we did or didn't do.Y'all, it worked for FOUR flipping days before giving up the ghost.

Product performed well and added a great new taste to the coffee. Surprised how quickly the milk foamed. Found the foaming would work better if mixed in a tall glass. The milk used was whole milk and warmed up a little before using the Frother. The instructions are printed on the box but would have been more convenient if printed on paper inside the box to include a pictorial on how to insert the batteries which would be easier for some. But after awhile all of sudden it stopped working

The initial frother I got only worked for a day, so I had to return it. However, afterwards, Powerlix did reach out and even sent me a brand new frother after returning the other one. I am happy to say that this frother is working perfectly well, so I have changed my review to match. I am impressed that Powerlix went to this effort to make this right for a customer.

I got my first ever milk frother about 6 months ago and purchased a cheap one to see how I liked it. It did a good job as far as I could tell, having never had one before. Then it died on me and having got used to the luxury of frothed milk in my morning espresso, I decided to try this PowerLix one. At 3 times the price I hoped it would be worth it. It most definitely was and more! This frother is really powerful and I like that it uses AA batteries and not the tiny AAA. It makes a thick, creamy foam and really adds a touch of luxury to my coffee. The included stand is great too as I can leave it out on the counter. Couldn't be happier with this frother!

Look, this is not a $700 Vitamix blender. It's $10, you get what you pay for. Having said that, my family and I used it everyday for 4 months then it stopped working. I began taking it apart trying troubleshoot. Then I remembered I paid $10 and can have another in 48 hours. So I trashed it and ordered one and an extra as a backup.

First I received what appeared to be a used one. Replacement order was easy to do and it was new. This works well. Fast and powerful frother, used regular 2%milk, oat milk, soy milk and it worked well. There is a level of skill to build that foam but this will do it! Never gets old, for me it's kind of amazing.Very impressed. Battery use, I wish it could charge too, you'll need rechargable batteries or few extra on hand. This is fun to use and so far no fail after good amount of fair use in order to write the review. Recommend it.

Twice they failed to put in the stand! I returned the first one which came with the envelope half open thinking the stand may have fallen out. So I returned it, and ordered another one and again, no stand. So disappointed in this company.

Buy this if you like milk froth on your coffee or hot chocolate

Buy this if you like milk froth on your coffee or hot chocolate! It is a tiny thing that won't be in the way on your counter at all. Just follow the directions, submerging at an angle matters. And there is much info online for achieving best results (type of milk, milk temperature, ...). This morning I frothed milk made from powdered milk and it frothed so well I believe I will use the powered milk from now on.

I recommend 3 things.1. Keep batteries fresh since it spins slower after batteries are a few months old.2. Use 2% or whole milk. I have used Oat Milk and Soy milk and coconut milk and while they all froth they don't gave same creamy texture as cow's milk.3. Heat the milk for 20 to 30 seconds. That keeps it nice and warm on top of hot coffee, espresso or Chai tea.Other than that just experiment with where to hold fritter in cup of milk to get max air frothed in. Some say the bottom others say the top. I use a combination of both.Great unit. I've had it 5 months and used it at least 30 or 40 times. Great bang for the buck.

This is my third battery frother. It is the best so far. The others took two AAA batteries and this one takes 2AA batteries. You can feel the difference in the spin of the beater. You actually can use this one to whip eggs if you wanted to and it really whips up milk. The stand is also nice. Generally I don't bother with using stands in my kitchen but this one is simple enough and small enough that I can use it as easily as I can lay the frother in the cupboard. I've only had it a few days but it feels very solid.

Better than I hoped for

Seasoned Greetings - 2 months ago
Just got this and in use for a week. Better than I hoped for. I like the quality of the mixer. I have had several other mixers that worked OK but...there was always something cheap and ill designed. This feels more like a tool than a gadget.Don't expect it to mix/froth anything more than liquids. It won't make smoothies and will balk at thick protein shakes or similar. But for frothing milk it is perfect and fast. I even took cream and in approximately (I wasn't timing it) 20 seconds made whipped cream, surprise, but only several tablespoons worth, an amount you would add to a cup of coffee. Think small and it is perfect. In liquids it is powerful and fast enough to swirl the liquid right out of the cup/glass if too full.I can only hope that it will last and believe it should as it appears well enough constructed, Time will tell. The quality seems to vary a bit but both of the ones I got work well despite this difference.

Great little tool. My girls love the froth when I make them chocolate or strawberry milk. This frother really does a good job. The handle is very comfortable and the button on top is easy to press. The only thing I wish is that it was longer. I usually make a large glass for the girls and the wand can't go that deep.

I highly recommend this model for its performance--I cannot yet comment on its longevity as I have only had this for a few weeks. The PowerLix has a very nice coating on a larger than standard handle, making it easy to hold on to. This is very helpful, as the Hold-down-to-operate power button enables you to start the whipping after you put the whip part into your milk and stop the whipping prior to removing it. This means no more milk splatter everywhere. The BEST THING ABOUT THIS FROTHER IS the power: as it employs two double-A batteries (as apposed to triple-A's) so it will froth a latte in a few seconds and a cappuccino in well under a minute.

I am happy enough but this my overall experience:The good: So this was my go to gift- neighbors, friends and family....the gift of frothing! After the last one in my hand fell apart in my hand (something about the power going one way I think, made the base finally implode on itself-and THAT was a $25 one) I found this PowerLix one and have had it almost a year...and love it for making my bulletproof coffee. The stand just adds to the ease. (Always going to recommend the stand)The not so good: Works best with fresh batteries as it can get finicky...did so a few months in. Sometimes it won't turn on at all or I have to mess with the pressure or thumb position (button is at an angle-my thumb has be at the highest point for optimal results, otherwise it pauses). The sad: Just found out 2 out of 3 that I just gave out as gifts in the last week or so stopped working after a few days. I wouldn't have found out if I hadn't visited my sister and asked her to froth up my butter...which in turn made me call my uncle and ask how his was doing (it wasn't doing). I got my sister's to work with similar finesse as mine-but it also required gripping around the battery casing tightly at the same time. Bummer! They don't do bulletproof but do make a mean eggnog latte...and were loving this while it lasted (4 days!) Uncle says he has to squeeze against the case too. Not gifting to anymore people.... but giving 3 stars because mine is still eeking life after months and months of pretty consistent use. I will keep messing with button until it fizzless out on me!
