Description
The Nespresso VertuoPlus single-serve coffee maker and espresso machine brews 4 single-serve cup sizes just with the touch of a button. Each machine includes a complimentary welcome set with a range of Nespresso Vertuo capsules with unique aroma profiles. Nespresso Coffee and Espresso Machine makes use of dual size single-serve capsules for brewing either coffee or espresso with consistent flavor at the touch of a button. Nespresso VertuoPlus uses large capsule for coffee and small for espresso and has patented Centrifusion extraction technology reads a code on the rim of compatible single-serve capsules and automatically sets brewing parameters. A: Yes, any machine with "Nespresso" in the name only accepts Nespresso pods to brew the coffee.

Poorly designed
While it’s pretty, I will be returning this. You cannot open the top unless it’s plugged in (it’s power open and close) but in my household I know it would end up being broken in less than a week. It’s not intuitive and I wasn’t aware of this before purchasing. Also, the placement of the cord interferes with the water reservoir. I initially set it up, filled it with water and while moving the cord ended up dumping the water all over the counter and boxing it back up to return it (if your outlet is not to the left of the machine it could cause you the same issue, you would basically have to cross the water container to plug it in.

Good machine but avoid shipping
Bought this Nespresso Vertuo Plus when it was on an awesome sale. I have the original line Nespresso Creatista, but got this Vertuo, agaib, because it was on a sale. My household we like both coffee and espresso so we didn't mind two units. Not only that, but it allows us to enjoy both types of pods during the holidays. The machine unit was easy to use. I do like it that the pods have a barcode, which the machine unit will recognize and adjusts the water to the pod. Packaging wise, it is true what other viewers stated. I'm not surprised that Target shipped it in its original packaging and the box was damaged. The packaging is like a recycled-thin-cardboard like. I would not suggest getting this shipped. I was able to get mine locally and avoided shipping. Yes, I will recommend this machine.

Terrible shipping from Target!
Nespresso was shipping in manufacturer package with 0 protection. Just slapped a shipping label on it and called it good. Arrived beat up, big hole in box and tapped up because the box fell apart in shipping. Also did not have the new “seal” taping the flap down so it was either a return or when it fell out of box it came off? Returned because this was supposed to be a house warming gift for my daughter and it was in unacceptable condition.
