Description
The Nespresso VertuoPlus single-serve coffee maker and espresso machine brews 4 single-serve cup sizes just with the touch of a button. Each machine includes a complimentary welcome set with a range of Nespresso Vertuo capsules with unique aroma profiles. Nespresso Coffee and Espresso Machine makes use of dual size single-serve capsules for brewing either coffee or espresso with consistent flavor at the touch of a button. Nespresso VertuoPlus uses large capsule for coffee and small for espresso and has patented Centrifusion extraction technology reads a code on the rim of compatible single-serve capsules and automatically sets brewing parameters. A: It only takes the vertuo pods (dome shaped, that have a bar code and spin - these are more expensive about$1.30 vs the fixed dome type pod about $0.75).

While it’s pretty, I will be returning this. You cannot open the top unless it’s plugged in (it’s power open and close) but in my household I know it would end up being broken in less than a week. It’s not intuitive and I wasn’t aware of this before purchasing. Also, the placement of the cord interferes with the water reservoir. I initially set it up, filled it with water and while moving the cord ended up dumping the water all over the counter and boxing it back up to return it (if your outlet is not to the left of the machine it could cause you the same issue, you would basically have to cross the water container to plug it in.

Bought this Nespresso Vertuo Plus when it was on an awesome sale. I have the original line Nespresso Creatista, but got this Vertuo, agaib, because it was on a sale. My household we like both coffee and espresso so we didn't mind two units. Not only that, but it allows us to enjoy both types of pods during the holidays. The machine unit was easy to use. I do like it that the pods have a barcode, which the machine unit will recognize and adjusts the water to the pod. Packaging wise, it is true what other viewers stated. I'm not surprised that Target shipped it in its original packaging and the box was damaged. The packaging is like a recycled-thin-cardboard like. I would not suggest getting this shipped. I was able to get mine locally and avoided shipping. Yes, I will recommend this machine.

This item came destroyed because target does not place the item in another box, they just ship it how it is. The pictures don't even show how bad it was. I had to take it inside without the box because the box was destroyed

Nespresso was shipping in manufacturer package with 0 protection. Just slapped a shipping label on it and called it good. Arrived beat up, big hole in box and tapped up because the box fell apart in shipping. Also did not have the new “seal” taping the flap down so it was either a return or when it fell out of box it came off? Returned because this was supposed to be a house warming gift for my daughter and it was in unacceptable condition.

I noticed that the coffee machine had clearly been opened before, which is disappointing since I didn’t pay for an open-box item. Also, when I purchased it on the website, it stated there was a 365-day return policy, but when I picked it up, the staff member told me there’s only a 30-day return window. This inconsistency on these two things is frustrating and I’d appreciate something about it.

Noisy when brewing coffee

Thanks for your review, Brica. It is normal for all Nespresso machines to make some noise during operation. Please keep in mind the following factors that may be contributing to the noise: • New machines with brand new pumps will produce less noise over time. • If you operate without water in the tank, the pump will be louder. • A capsule in the capsule chamber will dampen the noise of the pump. • Finer grinds (Ristretto, Arpeggio, Indriya from India) will brew quieter than coarser grinds (Cosi, Volluto, Decaffeinato). • The machine should be stable, with four rubber feet on the bottom. If any rubber feet are missing it may cause an abnormal vibration. • The ideal surface for the machine should be solid and flat, such as hard wood or a granite countertop. I have been the proud owner of this machine for less than six months. I have been on customer service calls for 3+ hours. I have been sent one incorrect and correct water reservoir to address a leak. I have followed all the steps on video calls. The expectation is that customers keep calling with each problem and get a runaround. No resolutions. I cannot recommend this machine or company.
