Prequel Skin Utility Ointment Facial Treatment - 2oz

I don't think I've found a Prequel product I don't like. This ointment is a lifesaver. I think I usually have 4 tubes of it at any given moment to make sure I'm never without it. I love putting it on my lips straight from the tube. Especially being on accutane, it has been a lifesaver along with the Lip Visor. I also like to sometimes cover my face in it before bed if my skin is really dry or needs more than just moisturizer. I also put it on my hands whenever I rip them in the gym or any kind of scrape/cut/blemish anywhere on my body. This stuff is amazing. I also usually hate the feeling of an ointment because it's super thick and doesn't absorb as fast as I'd like but this skin utility ointment is so different and so amazing.

Obsessed 😍 I use this every night on my lips, around my entire mouth and nose, and all over and around my eyes and eyebrows. I apply this last on top of my skin care nightly. I will not let this run out. Definitely keeping it in stock. A little goes a long way, which is great. I’m not stingy with it at all and yet I still have so much product left in the tube after months. Highly recommend.

So good!! I have sensitive acne prone skin and this product is excellent for treating the dryness and barrier damage that comes from using tretinoin. Very hydrating and healing, pleasant texture, melts into skin more than other petrolatum products which seem to just sit on top of skin. Does not break me out more.

I pick at my cuticles and the skin around my fingernails. One little hangnail results in red, swollen, bleeding skin and cuticles. I’ve tried every product you can think of- EVERY product - creams, lotions, oils, even bacitracin, lanolin, aquaphor, medical creams, all of them. I bought this on a whim when I was ordering other products. I had no expectations. I massaged a tiny amount into the skin around my nails before bed and woke up with brand new hands and that’s not an exaggeration. I was stunned. it’s been just about a week and the dry scratchy hangnails are gone, the redness and swelling, gone. the damage is about 70% healed already. It takes the tiniest amount and it absorbs so fast with no greasy residue. This is a miracle product for me.

I like it and it seems to sink into my skin well. It just isn’t moisturizing enough for me.

I have combination, acne-prone skin with fine lines. I was super curious about this cleanser and had to wait a while for it to come back in stock, but I snapped it up when it finally did. I was thrilled with the pricepoint and the value when it came to the size of this giant bottle. As promised, this glycerin-based cleanser is extremely hydrating and silky, with no scent. I used this for a couple of weeks, but began noticing a big issue. I did feel like it took a lot of elbow grease to rinse away the cleanser from my face without leaving a film behind. Even so, my makeup began sitting horribly on my skin after using this for a while. It would break up and crease and these were cosmetics I had been using successfully for years. I didn't link the two initially, but then I tried discontinuing use of the gleanser and within a few days, my makeup problems disappeared. I just think this cleanser is too rich to be used on my complexion and it disrupts everything on top of it. That said, I can and still use this on my body as a bodywash, but I was so disappointed that this didn't work as a new value cleanser for my face. It is wonderful for shaving my legs, though!

My lips are very sensitive and I have had many weeks/months where I have had sore, cracked and even bleeding lips. I have tried so many products to fix my cracked lips and all products I have tried continue to break my skin and hurt my lips. This is the only product that my lips will tolerate AND that also fixes the cracked skin! I recently forgot it on a trip and came back with hurt lips, in dire need of support. I found relief in only 24 hours of using the product again. I will never forget it on a trip again! Would love a travel size!!

I was an avid user of the antibiotic cream (in the yellow tube) on cuts and scrapes until I heard that dermatologists actually recommend petrolatum. Recently, I accidentally cut myself pretty badly. The ER glued the wound, but the glue came off in two days, so I used this ointment under a bandage and I was so surprised at how quickly it healed! No more yellow tubes for my family! Now I put this stuff on everything. Kids scraped knees - Prequel ointment. Husband cut his hand cut on equipment at work - Prequel ointment. I was not as careful as I should have been while using the dermablade - Prequel ointment. It really works.

I am always looking for a product that is not expensive or a prescription steroid cream to help soothe the eczema flare ups on my face. I gave this product a try as I have been hearing a lot of good things about the brand. I put it on overnight on my flare up and the next day it was 90% gone. It has a similar texture and feel as Aquafor, so I was initially worried that it wouldn’t do anything since Aquafor does not work for my eczema, but I was wrong! It’s not as waxy as Aquafor and does absorb into the skin to some extent.

It’s good for my face at night, but that can also be said about aquafor.. I’ve had chapped lips and this doesn’t help at all. It’s not moisturizing it’s really thin so I apply it over and over again. Nothing special about this.

My skin has been going through a lot the last two months and I cant explain it. My face has been red/irritated, flaking and stinging. I tried so many other moisturizers and when I saw this on the website I decided to try it and see if it will help my poor skin. This helps soo much!! I use it at night and my skin feels so much better its been helping my skin heal from what has been irritating is ( I have no idea what). Highly recommend!

One of my favorite of this line. I have dry skin and I use a tiny bit of this over my night cream. I don’t wake up to dry skin anymore, even when i use retinol

I use this around my eyes on my nights I use prescription retinol. Saves me from any dryness or redness / irritation.

I've been using the Skin Utility Ointment for two weeks and it has saved my skin. Arizona is always dry but this winter, with absolutely no rain at all, has increased skin irritation for everyone. I started having issues I've never had before. Enter Skin Utility Ointment. Almost overnight it soothed my skin and the dry, itchy patches resolved quickly. It is a pleasure to use. My dermatologist told me that they've seen more skin issues this year than they have ever seen before due to the climate. I suggested the ointment for my sister-in-law and she loves it too!

This is the best healing ointment I have tried for my chronically-dry lips (better than Aquaphor, Cerave, Cetaphil, and Vaseline). It is easy and hygienic to dispense. It has no taste or smell. It doesn’t melt onto my chin. A small amount is all it takes and I don’t have to reapply often. I think it is a tremendous value as 2 oz will last a long time. If you struggle with dry lips year-round, I highly recommend giving this product a try. I will buy it for as long as Prequel makes it using this magical formula. ❤️❤️❤️

45 percent petroleum, that is Vaseline. Same as aquaphor or cerave healing ointment. They are all half petroleum based.

I received this as a sample with my first Prequel purchase and decided to try it.... WOW! Like others are saying, this isn't like Vaseline at all; it adds a lot more. I slugged with it and woke up with such amazingly hydrated skin the next morning. Can't wait to try this on my Tretinoin and chemical peel nights. I haven't even tried the actual items that I purchased yet, but I'm already a Prequel fan!

Its vaseline. I would buy generic vaseline and not this. Does not dry fast, thick. I have dry & sensitive skin

Really liking this alternative to Vaseline, doesn’t feel too greasy. Says all over but it is the only product I’ve ever used that consistently made me break out on my face. So would recommend but not for face
