My 30 cup rice cooker is a good quality product. Its very nice and Im really happy with the purchase.

Boils over as lid is loose and splatters all over the counter.. filmy water. Inside cooker IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE AS INSTRUCTIONS CLAIM. HORRIBLE MANUFACTURER if you want to spend an hour cleaning up rice filmy water from your surfaces and floor, then buy this junk

Sometimes it works perfectly and other times it boils over and goes out the sides. I have tried it multiple times and it's not worth risking the mess or getting burned. If they could get that fixed it would be great.

Both the rice and product one chooses to steam will be cooked and ready at the same time. The divider for the steamer is a nice feature so one can cook two different vegetables at the same time. The warming feature is great to keep foods warm and ready for seconds. The large capacity will fit any families needs.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this for a few weeks and I love it! I really enjoy steamed vegetables. I had a little steamer that held very little and drive me nuts. This steamer is big and fits everything great! I’m big on broccoli. Rice gets done just right. I especially love how easy it is!!! I don’t have tons of different buttons and settings. I highly recommend this steamer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First thing that i noticed is the fact that its bigger than i expected. Can make pretty good amount of rice in very short time. Its just me and my daughter and 4 cups of rice is plenty for us it literally took about 10 minutes for rice to be ready. Love that it lets you know when its cooked you can get busy with other tasks come back and have it all cooked no need to worry to burn it ever again. It automatically turns off and switch to keep warm from cook feature. Steam basket is another great addition to the rice cooker. You can throw in some veggies and have them ready together adding some flavor to the rice. Very easy to clean rice doesn't stick to surface. Never tried rice cooker before im very happy how it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This rice cooker from Proctor Silex is huge. If your family loves rice like mine does. Then this is the rice cooker for you. Its an XL rice cooker and it cooks up enough rice for the whole family everyone can go back for thirds if they want. It will hold up to 30 cups of cooked rice and 15 cups of uncooked rice. You can also use the included steamer basket to stem your favorite foods also and the basket can be used at the same time you are cooking your rice. The steamer basket offers a removable divider so you are able to steam two different things at the same time. There is no need for a colander to rinse your food because the basket can be used as one to rinse your food before you start cooking it. So that makes less clean up for you on busy nights. When the rice cooker is done cooking it will Automatically switch to a warming mode. I don’t really use that feature because I find that it tends to burn my rice a little on bottom as it sits. I either will remove the pot or just unplug it which ever one you choose works great and your rice will stay warm either way. This does make the perfect pot of rice and you don’t have to worry about over or under cooking your rice with it. Don’t forget also to check out the instructions because it contain tons of info on your cooker and how to cook a variety of different grains. Overall this is a great rice cooker its fast and simple to use and makes things easier on you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoy using this rice cooker and steamer. I have a very busy schedule, so this is a big time-saver for me and the clean-up is super easy. I like that it is not only a rice cooker but you can also use it as a steamer. It comes with everything you need; base, cooking pot, basket, basket divider and lid. It is very easy to use. When cooking rice for example; I put 4 cups of uncooked rice into the cooking pot; then I fill with water to the “4” line; then place the cooking pot in the base and put lid on; then I plug it into the outlet. The warm light will turn on. You need to press the cook switch down to begin cooking. What I love about this rice cooker, it knows when to stop. When it is finished cooking, the Cooker will switch to warm and the light illuminates. Then I just unplug it. The rice comes out light and fluffy every time. The water does spit out of lid vent and it makes a bit of a mess. Tip: I was reading other reviews and one reviewer suggested to use the white spoon it comes with to cover the lid vent when cooking to prevent the water from coming out. I tried it and it does work. The steamer is easy to use as well. You simply fill the cooking pot half full of water, put pot in base, add food to steamer basket and place into cooking pot. The cooking instructions are the same as the rice cooker. The vegetables steam perfectly and they are not mushy. I am very happy with rice cooker and steamer. I recommend this product.
