Perfect with Alexa!
There's nothing like opening your eyes in the morning and telling your Alexa to turn on the coffee. And by the time you get to the kitchen, it's hot ready and waiting for you. This is the only small coffee pot that I have found that works with my Alexa. It makes good coffee. This is my second pot unfortunately my first one lasted less than a year and just quit working. I have no idea why. I was OK with buying another one though because of the convenience of it. The other thing is is I was thrilled beyond belief that UPS delivered my package instead of FEDEX!! I literally quit ordering from target because they used FedEx )because FEDEX sucks big time!) I am wondering if my letters to target helped in the decision to not use FedEx anymore. Who knows.

Does what I need it to do
I figured that instead of taking up extra counter space for a full-sized coffee maker that we rarely need to take advantage of, I'll get this little guy and run a 2nd batch when required. The low price helped solidify that choice. It's got no bells or whistles so there's less to figure out, less to clean, and less to break. Though I don't fit either category, I imagine this no-fuss maker would be perfect for college kids and old folks.

Instructions
So...just how do I "ensure filter basket is fully seated" ??? The carafe steams up. So i know I haven't done it right...no instructions. Main part of a coffee maker...no instructions!!! How do I know what a thumb handle is ? I kinda figured that...however I wouldn't call it a handle

I can't get enough of this little coffee maker!
This is the second one I'm buying in 20 years!! Its great when guests want different coffee than what's being served (flavored, decaf, etc) And just enough for a morning or night time hot coffee or just hot water for tea or hot chocolate. The coffee basket is great to hold herbs fruit and spices for healthy hot drink creations.
