Pasta is too long to fit this.

I bought these to have an airtight container for my spagetti and linguini....I put some in and my pasta is almost 2 inches higher than the container. Could not put the lid on. I thought maybe it was the brand of pasta I put in....so I got out another brand I had and the same thing happened. The long pastas DO NOT FIT this container yet the picture that came with it clearly has long pasta in it. Sorry but I had to return it ....I mean what's the point of this container.
