Q: Does this reduce chlorine taste? How do I know it's time to replace the filter?

A: Hi Multimama, This filter cleans water from chlorine and so the water will not taste like strong chlorine. The exact time to replace the filter is based on gallons of water which can be translated to 250 uses. So if the filter straw is used once a day, it should be replaced after 8 months.
