bad power button design
The power button is very poorly designed and hard to operate. I suspect that is why people are saying it never worked at all. You have to use your fingernail and depress the button to below flush with the front to get the click that turns it off or on. What a nuisance.

Perfect for 0.5 watt energy efficient nightlight
Wanted manual on/off switch versus automatic that draws energy even when light is off. Serves the purpose of providing sufficient nightlight so it's not completely dark while being energy efficient at 0.5 watt and color temperature is warm not white so won't disrupt sleep. Don't expect it to be a reading light though since that isn't its purpose. Using one for kitchen/living room and getting another for bathroom/bedroom.

Nice switchable nightlight but too bright
I was glad to find a switchable nightlight. For an interior bathroom, the ones that turn on and off by themselves are useless. This one is nicely designed and easy to use. My only reason to reduce to 4 stars is that the LED light is too bright. Nightlights should have a softer color temperature: that bright blue-white is hard to take in the middle of the night when everything else is pitch dark. GE should do better!
