Q: I have used this razor/shaver for about 10 years and they continue to grow mold in all of the crevices. I have tried cleaning with brushes and mold & mildew sprays to no avail. Please re-design!

  • A: Holding the Hydro Silk Trimstyle with the razor end up and the Schick logo facing you, twist the bottom half of the unit to the left and pull the bottom half down. Insert a AAA Lithium battery into the white tube on the bottom half of the unit, with the + side facing down. With the bottom half slightly turned to the left (button will be on left side), re-attach the bottom half of the razor to the top half by pushing the white tube on the bottom half into the green opening on the top half; then twist the bottom half to the right to secure and close.

    Awful only lasted 7 months and thats with minimal use.(maybe 1-2 a month) This is my second razor from them that failed/stopped working in a rather short time frame.

    Newer model didn't last more than a month

    I had one of these for YEARS!! Felt it was finally time to replace it since the blades weren’t as sharp and unfortunately the new one didn’t last a month before dying. Thought it was the battery but even when it was changed it still didn’t work. Thankfully I am still in the return window and hope that a new one will work longer than two uses. Make sure, if you purchase this, to save the box for a while and check it regularly for operation.

    Good function and price but unreliable

    Overall for the cost, this is not a bad purchase. I appreciated the function of it while I had it, however, they use a TON of batteries (had to replace every time I used it) and I’ve had two of these stop working on me after maybe 5 or so uses. Like I mentioned, its not a terrible purchase. I’m investing a more reliable and lower waste option myself but this product was decent while I had it.
