A: Hello there, and thanks for connecting with us. We recommend using our Clorox Bleach Packs on HE and Standard Machines. To begin you'd add your detergent as directed. Then, add one bleach pack directly to the machine drum. Please don't put these in a HE dispenser tray. For extra-large or heavily soiled loads, use two packs. For best results, add to the drum 5 minutes after the start of your wash cycle. The pack will dissolve fully during the wash. We hope this helps. A: Don't know the answer to your question but why not use a gallon of liquid? FYI no where on the container does it say "disinfects". So it is very misleading because it will bleach out stains and cleans spots etc. but does not disinfect anything. Only the regular Clorox bleach container reads disinfectant.
