Dr. Brown's baby bottles are widely praised for their anti-colic features, easy latch nipples, and ability to reduce gas in babies. However, a significant number of guests have reported that the bottles leak excessively, leading to messes and wasted milk. They also require careful assembly and have multiple parts to clean, which some guests find tedious.

Constantly leaking
These bottles may be recommended by speech pathologists and doctors, but the amount they leak is so aggravating. I have followed all the directions of how to prevent leaks and didn’t have a better outcome. The amount of milk we have lost and our baby crying as we endlessly try to fix bottles mid-feed is added stress we just don’t need. We have started to switch to other bottles that are triple the price, but at least they don’t leak. Please improve your design.

Great we use them from zero to 3 months we needed. Comes apart easily and fits in the bottle washer well.

Worse bottles ever
When you first start using these bottles they work well but after a while of using them they start to leak out even if you follow instructions for them not to leak. I thought maybe it was just time for some new ones but even the new ones would leak all over me and my baby leaving my baby and my hand all sticky with milk. It felt like the milk was going to waste because of this issue. Then if you remove the filter the baby struggles to get the milk out. I’ve given these bottles so many chances and have this problem over and over so I just put them in the trash. Very disappointed in them.

Awful
These bottles leak so bad no matter what you try. They leak from the nipple and lid area. Even with the bottle cap on, it will leak through. Switched to the advent bottles and wished we made the switch way sooner!

No fuss is a must!
We love these bottles because there's no fuss, the straw and cap are at the center. We tried other bottles where the parts still move around after being closed/capped. These bottles are easy to put together and clean, making feeding easier. Also if you rent the Medela hospital pump, these are a perfect fit - you can pump straight into the bottle!

Best Bottles for Reducing Gas and Fussiness
I love Dr. Brown’s bottles! The vent system really helps with reducing gas and spit-up, my baby is so much more comfortable after feedings. The nipples have a natural flow that made the transition from breastfeeding super easy. Yes, they have a few extra parts to clean, but it’s completely worth it for the peace of mind and happier baby. Durable, reliable, and totally worth the investment.

Causes baby to squeak
I don’t understand the hype around this brand of bottles. These caused my boy to squeak every time he swallowed. The flow level 1 was apparently too fast and he’s 2 months old with a super strong latch. Really disappointed. And the cleaning upkeep of these is terrible. Too many parts and tiny places residue can hide. The box got thrown away in the recycling so I really hope Target will let me return them.

Insane Leaking
I really wanted to love these bottles, but unfortunately they’ve been nothing but frustrating. At first they seemed fine, but after a few weeks of use they started leaking constantly. The problem has only gotten worse over time. It feels like every feeding turns into a mess with milk dripping down the sides, soaking bibs and burp cloths, and wasting so much milk. I even watched all of the “how to fix the issue” videos and tried every suggestion, but nothing worked. For the price and reputation, I expected a much better product. Instead, I find myself dreading using them because they create more cleanup than convenience. Sadly, I can’t recommend these bottles—they just don’t hold up with regular use.

Bottles leak excessively
Dr Bottles leak soooo much. I would never recommend these to anyone. Their page says I should stirring it with a spoon when I make the bottle, but it leaks anyways. It leaks when I make the bottle and it leaks when my baby is drinking it. I leaks more when I take out the insert but it’s advertised that you can remove it and use it. bd has the $2 parent choice bottles and never leak.
