Q: Can you place the premmie nipple on a bigger size dr brown bottle?
submitted by Jennifer - 8 years ago
A: Yes. The level of the nipple only indicates the speed of the flow from the nipple. If you place on a larger bottle, the milk will still only flow at the lowest speed. Careful though- too slow of a flow can cause the baby to suck in air instead of milk and get frustrated/ gassy.

These are perfect for my newborn. I am exclusively pumping and I use these for pace feeding. She drinks 1-2 oz and uses the preemie nipples for controlled flow, so they’re great.

I bought these and wish they also had this size in pink to match the set. Love the smaller size for smaller feeding.

It was an incredible frustrating and disappointing experience. I picked up a two-pack on the way home from the pediatrician with our three-day-old, only to get home and see that the package only had one bottle inside.

The item is good, the reason for giving a bad rating is that supposedly the package contains two items and when I opened it at home there was only one, I don't know what happened.

The 2 bottles I have were gifted thankfully. It seems like a good bottle with a great vent system for gas, colic etc. However it leaks pretty bad where the nipple and ring connects and around the area of the ring and bottle. I’ve noticed space all around the nipple and ring to the point I can slide my nail into the side of it. Mind you the nipple came attached to the bottle already so it’s no like I assembled it improperly.

These bottles leak all the time. They come with a stopper for travel, but they also leak while baby is drinking out of them. The anti-colic feature is great but also annoying and time consuming to clean.

We’ve been using these bottles for 3 months and they leak so bad. It’s so annoying. Baby is soaked in milk and we can’t tell how many ounces he’s actually eating. The preemie nipples are amazing and it’s the reason we continue to use these bottles because although our baby wasn’t a preemie, he drinks too fast and he chokes on other nipples. I wish they would fix this issue.

My daughter is very picky when it comes to her bottle she doesn’t accept most of the nipples we tried dr brows and she was able to latch on from the 1st try . Very easy to clean and leak free.

I don’t understand the good reviews. These things leak like crazy. It’s so frustrating. What’s the point of having a cap if it just leaks into and out of the caps and from under the collar?

Great bottles for preemies, as they have the really slow-flow nipple which is claimed by all manufacturers but not the case for all. The downside is washing all the little parts, but worth it to cut down on gas, which I’ve definitely noticed. Every baby is different so try and see what works for yours!

The only bottles that help my babies colic. Bought them in 2016, and still have them in 2023! Bought some new ones recently and still love them. Hate cleaning them though!
