Love it!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Adorable book that’s easy for littles to follow along! My little loves to push the buttons for the book and help hold it. It’s the perfect size to toss in a diaper bag and bring on a trip without taking up too much space. I love that the pages are board material so it’s not easy to destroy, since children are not fragile 😆 it’s a great tool to teach my little how to read, and she loves Moana.. so it’s a win win!

Same product broke twice within a month
Our son got this for xmas and stopped working after 1 day. We tried changing the batteries and it didn’t work. We ordered another 1 and it worked for about a month before all of a sudden stopping again. Again we tried changing the batteries and it still didn’t work. Would not recommend.

Disappointing sounds
The sounds for Maui and the grandma are lame. The grandma should be saying something inspirational like what she says to Moana about the ocean and her journey ahead. The Maui button is clearly busted, a manufacturer glitch.

Cute book for toddler
Our toddler loves this book! She’s a huge Moana fan and she jumps and laughs when playing the sounds. Shorter read than I was anticipating and not very many buttons so you keep playing the same sounds over and over, but she loves it and that’s what matters.

disappointed!
Very disappointed! My son loves Moana but this book does not do Moana justice! The sounds are so weird. I would have loved Moana singing a short song. And Maui saying his famous your welcome. Or something from the movie. I'm very disappointed. My son is getting it for Christmas so he hasn't seen it yet. I wish I could exchange it for another Moana book but target doesn't have anything else. So I guess I'll just keep it. I don't recommend!

Failed to check reviews first
Wish I’d read the reviews first before buying for our little’s 2nd birthday. Agree with others; the sounds for Maui and Grandma are lame, simply put. We honestly thought the Maui sound was just broken, until we saw the reviews here. The story, (while I get they are simplifying for story length and understanding to little ones), really could’ve been done differently.

Sound effects disappoint
The sounds are disappointing. Maui especially, I feel like he should say you’re welcome or something but he just makes a weird lightning sound? The pig and chicken are really the only good ones. Also if I’m being picky the text is not engaging.

kind of lame
The illustrations are great, and the book isn't overly long, which I like, but for the "voices" of Maui and Gramma Tala, they didn't even bother to get the actual voices for these characters...it's just this lame music that has nothing to do with the characters. I have no explanation for why they would do this. Too cheap, perhaps??
