Directions ■ adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age (with adult supervision): 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril, not more often than every 10 to 12 hours. Do not exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period. ■ children under 6 years of age: consult a doctor. Shake well before use: To open, hold by the white grips then squeeze and turn cap. Before using for the first time, remove the protective cap from the tip and prime metered pump by depressing firmly several times. To spray, hold bottle with thumb at the base and nozzle between first and second fingers. Without tilting head, insert nozzle into nostril. Fully depress pump all the way down with a firm even stroke and sniff deeply. Wipe nozzle clean after use. To close, turn cap until it "clicks". Do not discard cap.Inactive ingredients

Q: How many sprays per bottle?

A: Hi Mary. Per the FDA Final Administrative Order (OTC000026) Over-the-Counter Monograph M012, for a 0.05% aqueous solution of oxymetazoline hydrochloride, adults and children 6 to under 12 years of age can take 2 or 3 sprays in each nostril not more often than every 10 to 12 hours, not to exceed 2 doses in any 24-hour period. Given these dosing directions, a user can take no more than 4-6 sprays in total per 24-hours. Given the instructions on how to prime the pump along with variability in consumer usage, we do not indicate number of sprays or doses on the label as this can vary.

A: The box states that it is made in India. It does not state where the ingredients come from. An alternative that was in the local store but not online is Vicks Sinex Severe which is made in Germany.

Mucinex Sinus-Max Full Force Nasal Spray contains a decongestant, oxymetazoline, that helps provide relief from nasal congestion. You can use both products if you are experiencing these symptoms; nasal and chest congestion. Do not use the Nasal spray for more than 3 days. Be sure to read label instructions thoroughly for appropriate use of both products. So hard to open
It is nearly impossible to get the cap of this product. Instructions are not terribly clear, and the amount of pressure needed for both pressing the white grips AND pushing the cap down AND turning it is ridiculous. I cannot imagine trying to open this if I had arthritis. I understand a need for safety, but this is a terrible design.

This is the most poorly designed product I’ve ever purchased. We are taking it back to the pharmacy as we (two educated adults) could not get the top to work. I literally have bruises on my fingertips after 45 minutes of trying to open the spray and that is after “googling for help to open and following ALL of the instructions that were posted. Clearly, this is not just a problem for us and I can’t believe you released this product to the public.

Do Not Buy
I should’ve listened to the reviews! Do not buy this until they fix the cap! It is ridiculously tight and will I broke it trying to get the cap off with pliers!

Absolyte failure
I just want to know what failure of a design lead thought the new cap design was a good idea, and what useless QA lead had their head in the clouds when putting a test plan together. Oh wait, maybe they werent even involved. Regardless, the current version of product is a shameful example of what not to do with a perfectly working, highly rated product. I hope you read this. Massive failure.

Good product but opening the cap is a nightmare.
I think it’s a great product once you’re able to figure out how to open the cap. They need to send step-by-step directions how to do this. It’s such a nightmare that I feel like I’m going to go with another brand simply because of how to open the cap.

Terrible bottle design DO NOT BUY
I would give it no stars if I could but I wanted to be able to leave this review. I am so frustrated. I bought this Sinus Max in a kit with the Rapid Clear. I tried everything to open the Sinus Max. I tried pliers. It managed to get the lid to the bottle off causing half of it to spill, but I could not get the gray cap off. My husband tried too. This is the WORST product. I have a horrible sinus cold and have lost my voice. Now I get to contact your customer service and try to explain my problem. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Design Flaw
Without question, the WORST design for a cap ever. Impossible for anyone with arthritis, neuropathy, hand weakness to open. Impossible.

HOLY GRAIL!
This is my holy grail! I have been buying it for years and it immediately cures plugged noses. The only downside is you can feel it run down your throat for the first couple minutes but it’s well worth it.

Can't get it to work
Two educated grown adults can not get this to work. One was able to get the cap off, but neither can get it to work. May need an Engineering PhD, which neither of us have. $11 down the drain. Going back to buy the $2 store brand saline spray with a screw top.

Worst Designed Sprayer
I’m not sure why this sprayer has been changed but it is the worst design I’ve ever encountered. I have used this product for many years without incident. I just bought 2 new ones and both of them are the new type of sprayer. It barely comes out and I had the hardest time just trying to get the cap off. Please revert back to the old style. I did follow the instructions too.

bad top
i purchased your mucinex sinus max spray and I can't open the bottle, finally when my coworker got it to open nothing comes out. I put the top back on and it went down, got another coworker to pry it back open and the same thing. This new top is the worst, and I really needed to use the mucinex spray, had to suffer through work until I got off to take something.

Product Change
I just purchased the Clear & Cool Sinus-Max Severe Nasal spray. Why did you change the top cap of this product? It took me 20 minutes to get it open. I looked at a previous bottle and noticed that the top cap had changed. I have arthritis in my hands and this new cap design made it very painful to open. I had to used a pliers to press on the cap before I finally got it open. I am very angry about this change. I doubt if I'll buy this product again due to this issue.

The product works very well, but opening it is almost impossible. Also, when the container is half emply. It locks up and won't spray.

Horrible cap! No reason to get rid of the original cap. Can’t even use it because does not open. I’m so furious about this because it really works but you can’t even get it open. I wouldn’t even want to buy another one just to have the same. This is messed up!!!
