I already own this book for myself & bought another as a baby shower gift for a first time mom. I read this book when my son was about a year old and cried & laughed through the entire thing. It was so great to have a variety of moms put words to all my thoughts, feelings, and experiences as a new mom.

Every mother needs this book!
This is such a fabulous book- for so many reasons. It is a book that celebrates motherhood- the good, the difficult, the awkward, the undiscussed; and yet it feels like you are having coffee with a friend. It will make you say- "yes!", it will make you feel heard. It also gives you insight into things that maybe you haven't experienced, but a friend has, or you may one day experience and don't know it (miscarriage, infertility, adoption, special needs children, etc). There really aren't words to explain the magic that is behind Coffee+Crumbs. Many writers, writing from the heart, about things that we celebrate and mourn, struggle over, and high five. It is just magic, and such a blessing. I somehow (can't remember) stumbled across the Coffee+ Crumbs blog when it was just a baby, maybe only a few weeks old, in the blogosphere and have since read it deliberately/intentionally/religiously week after week. It is my single favorite blog, and then they added a podcast, and it's all fantastic. This book (and the blog) are perfect for any mother, in any stage/phase. I read the book slowly, savored it little by little, and now it's over and I can't decide if I'm sad about it, or if I'll just reread it again!!! Thank you to all the writers-- keep doing what you do so well!

A Must-Read for Every Mom
I want to get this book into the hands of every single mom I know. You know how when you’re having a tough day, unable to see the good in a hard season, and wondering if you’re all alone, and then a friend shares about the exact same thing that’s on your heart, and you melt into a puddle and say, “Yes! Me too!” This is that moment, but in the form of dozens of essays contained in a beautiful book. The Coffee + Crumbs writers have outdone themselves with their best essays yet (and that’s saying a lot because their blog is already full of gems), and I’m already excited to read the whole thing again. This book will make you snort with laughter, cry big tears, and feel so deeply understood. From now on, I’ll be gifting this book at every single baby shower I attend (along with something off the registry, because come on, we all know how long it took to put that thing together). I cannot recommend this book enough.

Great Baby Gift for New Moms, It's like sitting with Friends
I know this started as a blog, but Coffee + Crumbs isn't written by mom-bloggers, they are writers. This book is a collection of essays of a group of women writing from their hearts, telling stories that braid in truth about life and love and marriage and, of course, children which brought both laughter and tears to my eyes. It feels like being with sisters or best friends, women you love and respect and want to just live life next to. I wish I had this book sooner, like when my first child was born, not for advice or to read about one woman's story about motherhood, but to know you are not alone. That you are a part of something profound and overwhelming. Best part -- you can read an essay at a time in between finding socks and getting snacks!

These are your people!
Yes, this will be your new favorite book and a beautiful coffee table addition. But it will be so much more. The women who wrote the essays in this book will be your community on this journey through motherhood. They are masters at compelling storytelling and will paint you into each essay. You will laugh out loud, cry the ugly cry, and feel infinitely more encouraged and understood. You will say "YES, me too!" more times than you will be able to count. This will be a book that you will savor with a cup of coffee and will quickly want to share with other fellow mommas in your life who will also treasure it.

I love this book! It looks beautiful, and it's beautifully written. The stories are honest and raw. You feel like you're talking with the authors over a cup of coffee. Their words are comforting, honest, and hopeful, and their own stories make you feel less alone in the trenches of motherhood. It's the perfect gift, and will no doubt be an encouragement to mothers everywhere.

It doesn't matter when your motherhood journey started or how you will find someone within this book that can relate to your story. These mommas have graciously poured out their hearts for mothers all over the world on their blog and now in this book. Not only are these essays well written with beautiful prose, but they showcase all of the wonderful and beautiful parts of motherhood, and also accurately convey the hardships that come along with motherhood. There is no advice, no steps to getting your child to sleep through the night, just honest solidarity from mothers who are in the trenches with you. These women know that motherhood is hard, they don't try to downplay that. They also know that motherhood is holy work and that we are all just trying to do our best. You get to know these ladies within these pages, you feel for them and you empathize. You see yourself in these stories. This book is such a gift for new moms, and for those who have more seasoned. You will not be disappointed!
