Great set of books to help build language
Got this set for my 4-year old nephew who has a speech delay and loves Disney. My own son’s pediatrician and early childhood therapist both recommended single-word books to help build and encourage language as they are simple and won’t overwhelm the child. They are small but fit in their little hands, and he can take them on the go. I also appreciate that the books cover basic concepts like numbers, colors, shapes, and feelings.

I don’t think the size is bad actually, I have a 13 month old and he likes them but I didn’t realize they were 1 random word per page with kind of a bad illustration of what the word was on the opposite page. Skip these!

These are smaller than I thought, but still sturdy and cute! My preference would be that the picture associated with the words would be more clear. For example, the book “on the farm” has the word “eggs”. In the picture, the eggs are very small to see and point out to a toddler when there is a barn and chickens among other things on the “eggs” page. A plus is my toddler loves to put the books in the box, take them out and stack them, and carry the case around!

Boring and Misprint
Each book only has one word on each page. Maybe five words per book. Also, in the “body” book it’s actually the “shapes” book. So we got two of the “shapes” book.
