  • A: Thank you for your inquiry. Our Evolve Boar Styling Brush is made with real wood and pure boar bristles. It does not feature a vented design though the bristles are spaced out evenly to allow for easy usage and cleaning.

    No longer made with 100% boar bristles.

    The brisles no longer appear to be 100% boar bristles. The packaging in the picture shows the claim of 100% boar bristles but the package we received, although it looks identical to the online picture, no longer claims 100% boar bristles. The manufacturer must have changed the product since the listing was created. There appear to be some boar bristles mixed in with a majority of hard, black, shiny nylon bristles just like you would find in a cheap dollar store brush. I love the design and the wooden handle. It's a very handsome brush, I just wish it were still made exclusively with boar bristles, which was the only reason I purchased it.

    maybe not boar bristles

    The bristles looked shiny and doesn't look like it's from animal hair. Bristles felt very similar to nylon/plastic. also there is no mention of boar bristles at all in the packaging (see photos). other than that, the build is good. returning it.

    It's a boar bristle brush, in order to figure out how to use it, I had to look up how to use a boar brush. If directions are included here, then there wouldn't be so many bad reviews. It's great for skin brushing too.

    I’m so glad I took a chance on this brush despite some reviews. It was exactly what I was searching for. I use it for my toddler’s 3a-c hair and it glides very well without damaging her edges or causing discomfort. The brittles are a nice mix of firm and flexible. I also like the size of the brush to do large and smaller pieces. No brittles have come out btw!

    Do not recommend

    This bristles on this brush are not stiff enough to brush through my hair or my children’s hair. It was a waste of money for us because I would not return it after testing it of course .

    Nice in theory

    Like the size and that when used hair becomea shiny. Other than that, this brush take forever to use because it doesn't hold any hair when trying to use... with my thin hair this shouldn't be the case.
