She has worked as a children's book editor, an English teacher, and an independent bookseller. She lives in Portland, Oregon, with her three book-loving children, and an orange cat named Chuck.

Francesco Legramandi is a children's book artist and illustrator. He began working with Disney in the 1990s, and has also illustrated for Marvel and DC Comics. His works include All Dressed Up, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Ariel's Wavy Curls.

Gabriella Matta is an illustrator. Her works include All Dressed Up, Christmas in the Castle, and Cinderella's Golden Locks.
