Good, tasty options
Raos is one of my favorites for sauces and frozen meals (their frozen lasagna is quite delicious). I think the bolognese one is like a 4/5 while the arrabbiata 5/5, give both a try!

Not packaged well and mishandled in delivery.
The sauce is pretty good, although I jazz it up. The problem I have had is with delivery. I ordered 2 Rao’s but 1 lid had popped open and contents spilled inside the box. They were wrapped in paper but there was plenty of room for those heavy bottles to get tossed around. This has happened way too much.

Best bolognse you'll find in a jar!
Perfect for when you need sauce for a quick dinner or don't want to make your own sauce. It is a little more oily than I'd like, but it's the best option I've found! Good flavor, heats up well, and is always consistent!

I have been using Rao's sauces for several years. The quality is the best of the best. The bolognese is delicious and the marinara I can just eat it off the spoon every ingredient is the best. My compliments to your company and don’t stop making the best sauces I have eaten from a jar.

Kraft ruined it
Once Kraft bought them out the recipes have been completely changed. This is NOT even close to the Bolognese it used to be. There's barely any meat in it and it's just using crushed tomatoes to bulk it up. It doesn't even taste the same and it's much cheaper tasting now in line with cheap Prego or Ragu.

Bland
I have bought a lot of RAO's sauces and other frozen products and feel all of them are very good. However the Bolognese was a let down. I wasn't bad but I thought it was bland and I could hardly taste the meat.

SO totally loyal to this brand and especially luv this trio meat sauce over ricotta stuffed shells I make. Read the ingredients! You can understand all, which means it’s the real deal with no additives, chemicals, etc. If you can’t dine at their restaurant in NY, this will please you just as much. So worth the price and the other variations are just as wonderful.

If you love meatball subs…
I had been using another brand that we really like, but I wanted to try Rao’s because of all the good things my friends were telling me. They were right! I made meatball subs using this sauce and the flavor was excellent! Just the right amount of spices to allow the tomato taste to shine through. Topped with fresh mozzarella, and we had a winning dinner better than any restaurant subs I’ve ever tried. I will be trying other recipes with this sauce from now on.

Very delicious. Rao has very good products. Closest to homemade. All I have to do is cook my pasta and just add the sauce to the already hot pasta. I’ve used it to top a breaded chicken bread. And also to make pizza bread. Very versatile.
