Description

The 3.5mm (1/8 inch) stereo TRS connector is more commonly known as the Headphone Jack on portable mp3 players and mobile phones. This cable features a male 3.5mm stereo (TRS) plug on each end, with molded connector housings and strain relief boots. Each connector is gold-plated to ensure smooth, corrosion-free connections. The cable is made of heavy-duty coaxial cable for each conductor. The conductors are 22AWG and each conductor is shield to prevent EMI or RFI interference from entering your audio system. The cable is 12mm x 6mm thick, while the connector housings are 41mm long x 15mm diameter. Because of their size and weight these cables are best suited for more permanent connections, such as from your PC to your sound system. Also, because of the size of the connector head, these are unsuited for use with phone cases and may not fit within the expansion slot cutouts on the back of a PC case. If you want something more suitable for these applications, please try one of our standard 3.5mm audio cables.

Too high of quality?

I assume this is a good cable (Monoprice has consistently great quality). The problem is that the base on it (just past the gold plated plug) is so thick, I can't connect it to my phone with the case on.

PROS: This cable is a nice thick gauge and probably won't cause any noise issues CONS: This cable is way too heavy for most applications, especially for headphones

Works great, thicc.

Looked exactly at the photo. I should have looked closer and noticed it was so thick, but it ended up working in my application. Some people might not be able to use them as the rubber near the 3.5mm ends is pretty wide.

great cable, improved my audio over my cheap cable

Be aware, this is a heavy duty cable, made to last, but its also not one to replace your headphone cable. Replaced my older thinner cable with it and it sure sounds better, loss a little static i had before. this cable is thick and feels durable and well made.

Damaged product

Just opened it yesterday and the cable tip was bent. Wouldn’t give a solid connection and just crackled. Would not buy again.

Better than expected

I bought 3 because they were reasonably priced and were extremely high quality. They had a little heft to them so they felt good in your hand instead of those cheesy little plastic covered ends that conk out after nominal use.
