Dont have a fabric tape measure? Use a shoelace or pant leg to measure. Then, lay it flat & use a ruler or tape measure to get a numerical measurement.

How to measure

  • Height

    Have your child stand in front of the fridge.Mark the top of the head with a magnet. Measure a straight line from floor to magnet.

  • Chest

    Have your child make airplane arms. Wrap tape measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping it level & snug.

  • Waist

    With your child bending to one side, measure the point where the waist flexes naturally. Keep the tape level & comfortably loose.

  • Hip

    Have your child stand like a tall tree with feet together. Measure a level line around the fullest part of the hips & seat.

  • Inseam

    Take a pair of pants that fit your child well. Measure along the seam from crotch to leg opening.

    Husky 14 bigger than a 16/18

    My son has been wearing these shorts for YEARS. They’re my favorite. He outgrew a 14 but jumping to a 16/18 is just way too big and too long. I thought a 14 husky would be the way to go because he’s still only 10 and essentially it should be the same length as a 14 but just bigger waist - right? Well I was shocked that the 14 huskies are SO LONG. I even took them to the store to compare with unwashed sizes and the 14 husky are longer than both the regular 14 AND the 16/18. Huh? Why?! MAKE IT MAKE SENSE! Basically there’s no size that will accommodate a size “16”. You either get a 14 or an 18. Off to find a different brand after wearing these for years and years. So disappointing.
