Indio Boardwalk
The guitar was basically what I expected it to be for the money. It was a good value. The guitar had string buzz out of the box and required a new nut because the grooves were cut too deep. So, I purchased a bone nut and adjusted to torsion bar on the neck and it was fine. The only thing is I believe the guitar I received was previously sent and returned. Which I understand that happens but I don't think it was really addressed as to why it was returned. With all that said it was still a bargain and I would recommend this guitar as a good starter guitar and it sounds quite good,

I bought the Amber version. For the price, I'm very pleased.
Amber semi-hollow body. Got it on sale so I'm pretty happy with the price. I've found several small issues so far (after 4 weeks). Pros and cons: Pros: 1. I love the color - bright yellow/amber. 2. The size and weight are very close to a Gibson 355 which it is styled after. 3. The pickups are bright/hot and the tone pots produce a wide range in the tone. 4. The guitar was somewhat setup right out of the box (but it needed some work). Cons: 1. Frets were not dress well and there were sharp edges on the underside of the neck starting at ~ the 10th fret. 2. The finish is either printed or a laminate. It has a couple of flaws right on the front of the body. 3. I had to adjust the neck until the truss bar was loose - no room left for adjustment in that direction. 4. Setting the intonation also used up all of the available space on the bridge. 5. I have to retune often - long past the point where the strings should be stretched and settled.

Really Nice
Very nice for the price. I think most people would like it for it's playability right out of the box.

Second fret issue on new guitar
Second fret is defective, causing buzzing across all strings when barred. The rest of the neck plays fine, but it also came with dust and debris packed between the frets. Now I have to take a brand-new guitar to a shop to fix a factory defect.

Cosmetic imperfections in finish, but good to play
Several visible cosmetic finish flaws on binding and around f holes.. However, good to play, and comfortable in lap. Price paid very reasonable since it was on sale as reduced price item. I think of the instrument as B stock.

Not perfect, but worth the money.
Finish is beautiful. Several fret edges had to be filed down prior to playing, and I had to shake left over wood shavings out of the front holes; however, I feel the guitar is a still quite a bargain for the prices.

awesome for the money
who could want more for the price? Even tho' the pickups are pretty bright, I love them. The quality of this thing is way above it's price class - it's not perfect, but only those with unrealistic expectations would be disappointed. The finish is slick, the intonation is right on, and like I said, the sound is really good. I've got 2 custom shop Gibsons & of course, anybody could tell the difference -but you get almost 90% for what most of us do for less than 10% of the price? Sign me up every time.

Nice guitar, GREAT price
This is a nice guitar. It?s well made, has a beautiful charcoal burst gloss finish, and has the wonderful mellow sound of a semi-hollowbody guitar. The blacked out hardware is a nice touch. I learned about this guitar from the guitar gear bloggers on YouTube. They ALL gave it great reviews. Some of the older reviews mentioned that the fret ends needed more polishing, and there was some nitpicking about the size and font of the Indio logo. More recent reviews indicate that these issues have been addressed. MY Indio guitar has polished fret ends and it APPEARS to me that the logo is a bit smaller. The fit and finish are EXCELLENT, so perhaps Monoprice has listened to customer complaints and has tightened up their QC. The BIG news here is the PRICE. EVERYONE, myself included, is STUNNED by how INEXPENSIVE this guitar is. The $250 list price is a STEAL! The YouTube bloggers claim that this guitar will go head-to-head with other 335 style guitars costing 3 times as much! I agree.

Great guitar. Poor setup.
I went with the higher model that supposedly included setup by someone here in the US. The setup wasn?t done well at all. I?m dealing with some issues of fret buzz and a few other adjustments needed. I can?t imagine how it left the hands of the technician in that state. Otherwise the guitar is beautiful, and will sound great soon.

NOT Flamed Maple
I just received this guitar November 20, 2022 and it was obviously a return. The guitar was tuned and there was no paper on the strings. I suspect the previous buyer also realized the top is not flamed maple. It may be maple but it is certainly not flamed. There is a very faint spray paint striping designed to look like flame but definitely NOT flamed wood. This is very disappointing. I've attached a photo from the description (Amazon) and the actual guitar I received. The horns are completely black, not burst like the description photo. There are several minor finish flaws. The medium jumbo frets are sprouted and sharp and will require filing. This caused the binding to crack in several places. Fret crowns are very rough and will require polishing. On the bright side, the tuners are very good quality and the hardware appears to be decent. Unplugged, the guitar has a pleasant, resonant tone.

Great Value!
You have heard it before. It's a great deal for the money! This one truly is. Flawless finish, quiet electronics, nice inlays, decent pickups. Even comes with a nice gig bag. This guitar is easily worth $400.00-$500.00 if it was domestically made. The only thing that I will warn you of is that the neck is pretty chunky. People with smaller hands may want to look elsewhere or buy it and get out the sandpaper.

Non starter
Had to return this guitar as there was significant fret lift (gaps between frets and the fretboard) occuring all along the treble side of the fretboard. The replacement guitar that was sent had the exact same issue so that was returned for a full refund. I bought this guitar based on great youtube reviews so this was disappointing.

Amazing guitar for the money
Amazing guitar for the money. It?s very playable right out of the box, but of course I lowered lthe action even more. It is capable of a genuine jazz sound, which is not true of all 335 type guitars. You can rock out as well. It has a warm sound, very Gibsony. If you want a 335 guitar but don?t have 3k dollars this is the one to get. It?s actually a 339 copy, slightly smaller than a 335.

The Best 335 copy out there
This Guitar was great right out of the box. I just picked it up and played, it felt just like my old 335, and the price very nice A++

Cant beat it for the price
Excellent for the price, better quality than i was expecting, some minor issues, the high E can get caught on the 5th fret if things get wild, but that only happened once and then when i was trying to figure out what happened, guitar sounds awesome plays awesome and its worth every penny i paid for it

Can?t go wrong
Overall, very happy with my purchase. For the price, it?s an incredible value. Minor ?issues?: a screw on the bridge was chewed up, the neck needed slight adjustment to improve playability, tone pots don?t really do much until you get to ?3?

Nice guitar but flawed setup
I'm impressed with the Monoprice Indeo Boardwalk electric guitar. It was well finished, and well setup, except that on the high E string, the fourth fret was too low, so that when I fretted there the string was deadened and would not make a sound. All other strings and frets were fine. I've taken the guitar in to a local guitar shop, where I am paying to have the fret raised, and the setup redone. This problem should have been obvious to whoever set up the guitar. I do like the guitar though, and it is certainly worth its price.
