Monoprice 6.5in Weatherproof 2-Way Speakers with Wall Mount Bracket (Pair White)

Write your review here. It must be at least 10 characters long. Consider I originally bought 2 pair in October of 2019. They made it through three Texas Summers and were still looking and sounding great. I caught a sale on them in April of 2023 thinking I would surely need to replace the old ones. Three years later the "new" ones are still in their unopened boxes. I love these! The sun has not been kind to them and I did have to paint the metal screen (to match the weathered cedar fence) but they have been working perfectly through 100+ weather, several freezes, two snowstorms, and 3 hurricanes! They still sound great. The only difference is that the outside of the box is not nearly as shiny as they were new. 6.5 years and still going strong. I many never need they new ones! Really impressed. Paired with the Monoprice outdoor sub, i still feel like I am listening from the living room when in fact I am floating in the pool. whether you would recommend this product and what you like or dislike about it.

WARNING TO BUYERS: The sticker on the rear of my 6 units were upside down. This matters because the instructions state that the unit must be correctly oriented vertically (tweeter above woofer) or horizontally with the tweeter to the left if you want water resistance. If I oriented the speakers based on the direction of the sticker on my units, I'd have done so upside-down and potentially compromised its waterproofness. REVIEW: I'll keep this short. These speakers sound pretty decent, but I do believe (and the included manual suggests) they need time to break in to truly open up their sound. Out of the box, I was only really satisfied with these when I cranked the tone control on my receiver to -6 Treble (max) and +6 Bass (max) as they were so bright at lower volumes. They seem to roll off at around 120hz - so pair them with a sub if that matters to you. They've since started to ease into a more well rounded sound - and I'm very satisfied given that outdoor audio is kind of a nightmare to begin with. They're VERY well built. These things are tanks - and very easy to install. The mounting system is sturdy and I couldn't be happier with the build quality.

These are really great speakers for the price. I installed 2 pair of these at my old house and just had 2 pair installed at my new house. The installer was really impresses with the sound quality - he was trying to sell me some other speakers that were 3x more.

Absolutely love the speakers. Fantastic sound even before break in and great looks. Just went through Hurricane Ivan with them on a covered screened in pool area with no problem. Highly recommended.

Too big and heavy...unfortunately Monoprice charges 15% restocking and shipping is $106 per pair to return so a true waste of money.

I've got four of these around a tennis court. They sound great and look like they will last a long time outside.

Extended break in is recommended and this review is based on listening out of the box through 30-40 hours. As expected the lower frequencies were a bit lacking and a bit overwhelmed by the relatively bright tweeter. Having said that, I was pleased with the overall sound, especially compared to the previous, more expensive outdoor speakers. Listened with two different mass produced receivers and had similar results. Playing at higher volumes produced clear well defined music and was more enjoyable than expected. Assuming the 6.5 woofers loosen up and the sound becomes more balanced I would easily give them 4 stars regardless of the price. Considering the cost and apparent build quality, I can recommend this product without hesitation..

Do the job have great sound for my deck. Why spend 3x the price for the exact same thing.

Installed quickly and look great. Sound is good and easily enough volume to cover my fairly large deck. I'm pleased.

Good sound and sturdy construction. Much better design than the 15 year old Polks that they replaced.

Speakers were easy to mount and sound good. Worked out very well for my application.

Great find, replaced cheap builder grade outdoor speakers using a Sonos connect amp. Sounds 100% better. Thinking about adding a sub for the bottom end, then my outdoor area will be ready for the summer.

Haven't had these too long yet, but have been pretty impressed. Replaced some 10yo Boston Acoustics of the same size. To me they sound just as good. Maybe a little light on some of the mid range but that can easily be EQ'd. Will they last as long as the BA's? Yet to be seen. They look very well built except for the wire terminals which are CHEAP. Wish they could have been brass at least but oh well. These speakers were probably 1/5th the price. They look good and sound good so far. Made it through most of a Texas Summer. We'll see
