Not working for LG monitor
Display port to USB-C on a LG monitor does not work (cable from another brand works). For the price not bad as USB-C to display cable.

Do not buy unless you like to gamble
I originally purchased two of these cables, but one broke shortly after purchase. I RMA-ed it and the next one also came dysfunctional. The QA on these cables seems to be very poor.

It works both ways
It is a little silly how hard it was to find just a displayport cable with full sized DP on one end and usb-c style for the other end that is bidirectional! This is exactly that. It can be used to connect an video card with full size DP connections to a new monitor with usb-c style DP ports. Then I can use it on a new laptop with usb-c style connectors and connect it to an older monitor with full sized DP connections.

Works like a charm
If you are planning on using a Display port KVM or a 4k monitor, you'll want this. Hook it directly up to your laptop or KVM, and you should be good to go. I'd urge against using this in conjunction with a plugable docking station or any sort of adapter, otherwise you're going to be running a 30hz 4k or it simply won't work. At least that was the case in Linux; I had no such difficulty with my windows gaming PC, but of course I use a video card with display ports directly, and have no issue there.

It works!
What else can I say? It works great going from my System76 Meerkat to an LG 27" 4K monitor. Previously I was using a DisplayPort -> DisplayPort cable with a USB C adapter but there was a lot of flashing. This cable eliminated that problem

Does not work with Asus XG17 monitor.
This cable is not bi-directional. It will not do DisplayPort to USB-C for the new Asus XG17 monitor.

Defective USB-C connection
The USB-C connection is defective an will break after 2 months of use. I have 3x of these and two are completely useless causing the screen to flicker. Don't waste your money.

Flimsy ends, totally busted after a 3 months
Cable is nicely braided, seems like decent construction. But, the USC-C end is loose in its housing, and the metal connector was rocking around, disconnecting at the slightest bump. The problem get getting worse until one day it stopped working altogether.

Works great with MacBook Pro!
Initially tried using Apple's Digital AV Multiport Adapter with my HDMI cable and that didn't work. Bought this cable and now my external display is functioning as expected with my MacBook Pro.

It's the right wire for me
It's what I expected. It works with a laptop that has displayport over usb-c out and enables me to use higher refresh rates than HDMI.

Well Built Cable
I have a 2019 Mac Pro. I removed the Apple MPX 580X and replaced it with an Aorus RX5700XT. So I removed the Macs Thunderbolt and replaced it with a GPU with a DisplayPort Output. My monitor is the Mac endorsed LG 24" monitor with only Thunderbolt (USB C) input. This card worked converting the DisplayPort signal to USB C. BUT, for some reason I lost my boot screen in the process. Note - Monoprice did not ship me cable when promised.

Works ok
I bought this cable to use on a 2018 13" Mac Pro. The multi port hub I was using for an external monitor only gave me 30mhz at 1440p. This cable gives me the full 100mhz at 1440p my monitor is capable of but there's a glitch. In the two days I have been using the cable, I have twice had to unplug my monitor to reset it. It was not in sleep mode, indicated by the solid power light, but it was also not showing a picture. I have never had to do this before, so something is not right. Other than this the cable works exactly as intended.

Does not work as advertised
This cable claims to work on monitors with USB C input but in the case of my LG UltraFine 4k monitor it did not work. So if anyone is wondering if this will work with LGs UltraFine Mac monitors, no it will not work if you're trying to hook it up to a PC. Also, their " 1-2 day Mono Shipping" is not a good idea. Even though they did hit their 1-2 day mark. They kept pushing back the time it would take to get to me. But that is a big deal of course. The real issue is them hiding the real name behind this shipping option. Monoprice 1-2 shipping is done through "GLS" Look up their reviews before selecting them. For something simple and cheap like this cable, it's not a big deal. But if you're making a big order or ordering something expensive. DO NOT PICK THEM
