A: Hi - this lamp does not have a 3-way socket, so a 3-way bulb used in it will only turn on to one level. If you are looking for this type of lighting control, we suggest using an add-on line cord dimmer, which will give you much more lighting flexibility and control than a 3-way socket. Pretty, but fragile
I found these lamps to be very pretty, but they not very solid. They are wobbly. The silver-colored base arrived with many slight scratch marks. I put them in a dim, seldom-used room on light switches, so "on"/"off" doesn't require touching the lamp. In there, they can be pretty!

Shade was my only disappointment. Had to replace it.
Lamp was what I expected. I did have to replace shade since it looked like plastic. I bought a linen shade which added so much to overall clean look.
