A: They are definitely not plastic. Maybe composite, though. We love them - they have lasted and are sturdy, so far.

A: It's pretty close to the actual color. It's different shades of color and not a solid color.

A: Hi, each individual leg is 1-1/2" square. The "footprint" of the stool, total dimensions as it sits on the floor, is 12" deep by 18" wide. The legs do taper out from the seat.

Fits narrow spaces, grey color
I looked all over the net for a narrow, kid-friendly stool that would completely fit and practically vanish under a 10" counter. This means not only the seat but the legs as well have to make the 10" clearance as any legs jutting out would cause trips and falls when the stool is tucked in. It is very very difficult to find a stool with these narrow specs. This stool is sturdy and wide enough with a slightly dipped seat. My only qualm is that it feels like some plastic resin altho the specs say rubberwood. the wire brush texture that has black paint looks a little fake and doesn't look authentic. I would do without that if it was just a wood grain texture without the contrast "wire marks". Storm grey color is truly a slate grey, not brown. The shipment also took longer than expected to arrive.

Lovely wood stools
These are really nice stools: solid wood, interesting finish. Regarding the color, I would not call them driftwood grey, but driftwood brown. They are a somewhat muted brown, and the wirebrush effect lightens the base color a little the way the light hits it. The color happens to match my floors ridiculously well! I chose these stools in large part because they are so narrow in depth and I wanted stools to fit underneath my extremely shallow counter overhang. I can tell you, I looked, and these are some of the narrowest on the market, so if that's what you're looking for, and you don't mind a little rustic touch, look no further!

Very disappointed with the color these are NOT GRAY AT ALL, they are clearly brown and it’s very disappointing! I am building a house and my kitchen is gray so with the name being “driftwood gray” this is VERY MISLEADING!

The stools do have a gray tint to them, even they are dark brown. They seem sturdy, and they look nice. The reason I am only giving 4 stars is because there was some inconsistency with the sizes of the holes the manufacturer drilled for the screws. It didn’t cause an issue with the integrity of the stools, but it did make it difficult to use the decorative covers that go over the heads of the screws. Also, 2 of the 3 stools are a bit wobbly.
