Broken glass everywhere!

This table looks nice and was exactly the dimensions I needed. After about 18 months of owning it, the glass suddenly shattered at 2:30 in the morning for no reason, waking us all up to vacuum tiny shards of glass around my living room in the middle of the night. Now I’m trying to decide if I fit some new sort of new top on the base of the table because it’s still the right dimensions for the space.
