Born on a 175-mile bike ride, CLIF BAR energy bars are purposefully crafted with a mix of protein, fat, and carbohydrates to help sustain active bodies before and during long-lasting activity. When trying it I liked that there were different textures. The bar itself was a softer bar, but also had crunchier bits and the chocolate chips. As for taste, the chocolate chips help but you can tell it’s a protein bar. It kept me fulfilled, but it was just good… not great.

I like that it is produced with organic oats, contains no high fructose corn syrup, and is plant-based. The texture is wonderful, it's chewy but yet has some crunch. My husband does a pretty strenuous job and takes a Clif bar with him every day. He says it is his pick-me-up for the day. I would highly recommend the Clif Chocolate Chip Protein Bar!

With 10g of protein, and 5g of fiber, it is much more satiating than a traditional granola or candy bar. It does have natural sugar in it, which I typically avoid, but it is nice to have a naturally sweetened treat a few times a week.
